There is also an in person, being offered in Ward County.
Tuesday, May 19th at 7:00pm at the Ward County Administration Building at 225 3rd Street Southeast in Minot.

Severe Weather and Safety Training, called SKYWARN, is free and open to the public. There is no need to register. Sessions will last an hour and a half. Bring the family! Bring a friend! We'll have interaction with you on thunderstorm formation and storm hazards, flash floods, lightning, tornadoes, hail and high wind.
We'll tell you how to be prepared, and discuss storm structure, storm strength and Watches and Warnings. See some neat pictures and cool video and learn to be Weather-Ready! 99 out of every 100 people will NOT be disappointed! For sure you don't want to be that 1.

It’s that time again you all have been waiting for it’s the 3rd Annual Maxbass Rural Fire Department 30 day calendar Raffle, drawing begins July 1st 2026!

You can either find a volunteer or message the page to let us know if you would like to purchase $100/ticket.

Raffle information:

Drawing starts July 1st 2026, everyday for the month! (31 days of potential winning)

-750 tickets will be sold—buy multiple increase your chances😉

-tune in daily the month of July, the winner will be posted to the MRFD page, feel free to tag them if you know them

-the winner will get a phone call of how to pickup goods

-if you are a lucky winner your name goes back into the spinner for multiple chances.

Reminder:

The Maxbass Rural Fire Department is hosting the Annual Meeting for the Maxbass Fire District today March 19th, 2026, starting at 6pm, at English Lutheran Church and supper will be served.

There will be a coloring activity during the meeting for the children; please dress them in casual clothes or provide a paint shirt as the paint is washable but may stain.

We hope you can join us for socializing, a meal, and to learn more about the department's recent activities.

Location: English Lutheran Church,Maxbass
