The entire state is under a high wildfire danger, and over half of the state is currently under burn bans. Even though Randolph County is not under one, please refrain from burning anything unless absolutely necessary. When setting a fire, ensure you have the means to control it. Conditions are expected to worsen over the next week, so let's hope rain chances stay in the forecast for next weekend.

This is a current map of burn bans and the wildfire danger in Arkansas. Randolph county is in a HIGH status as today. This means that conditions allow fires to ignight easily and spread quickly. Unattended fires will spread rapidly in these conditions. PLEASE DO NOT BURN. These conditions are only going to worsen over the next several days due to low humidity and winds.

Please do not do any burning tomorrow. I know the weather is going to be nice and everyone is trying to get ready for spring. But just today alone we had 3 grass fires, a structure fire and a call about a control burn. One of the grass/woods fire got to a neighbors property burning down a storage shed. If you allow any fire to get out of control and cross property lines you can be held liable for damages. If you do decide to burn make sure you have the resources available to control it if it gets away from you.
