On Sunday, March 5, 2023, at approximately 2:55 am San Juan Police Department officers responded to the intersection of Veterans Road and Hall Acres Road in reference to a vehicle crash. Upon arrival, Officers found a 19-year-old female deceased with a
gunshot wound.
Sheriff’s Deputies, Major Crimes Unit, and Crimes Scene Specialist responded to the scene. Major Crimes Investigators interviewed witnesses and it was learned that the victim, 19-year-old Yocelin Rodriguez was leaving a party when a verbal dispute ensued with a group of men that were driving a dark-colored newer model lifted Dodge Ram truck. The driver of the Dodge truck pulled up next to the victim’s vehicle and an unknown male subject shot into the vehicle striking the victim.
This is an ongoing criminal investigation, we encourage witnesses with any information regarding this case to come forward.
