Puffins are cute but this one is just adorable. It flew up to a group of us and landed among the dandelions (then flew off as soon as it realized we weren't also puffins). I just put this photo on a mug at Zazzle - check it out! Photo taken in Iceland August 2021.

If you’re a quilter, crocheted, fabric artist, or just like to make things and you are in the Birmingham, Alabama area check out these items. I have fabric pieces and scraps, Battenberg lace, embroidered and lace-edged sample fabric. We’ve got vintage pieced quilt tops as well as quilt squares and pieces. Plus yarn and crochet supplies and items. These are all from a family estate.

I’d love to sell them for a reasonable price to someone who can use them. For now I’d like to keep it local so I can meet in person. Shipping is so expensive!

I got a new camera with an awesome digital zoom. So far am mostly taking backyard bird pictures as I get familiar with all the camera functions. The big challenge is balancing focus and zoom, but I'll get there. This is one of the goldfinches that likes to perch on a big shrub near the feeder.

Missed it, but for a writer, of course, every day is Coffee Day. And Coffee Morning, Coffee Afternoon, and Coffee All Night.

Sept. 29 will mark National Coffee Day and coffee connoisseurs will be pleased after one publication recently released their list of best local coffee shops in each state.
