People of McClusky and surrounding towns! I will be opening during scheduled hours/days soon for scrap metal drop off! It’s hard for some people to make it to the dump grounds during their open days, and I hope to help with that! I will be accepting all scrap metal into the yard with the exception of cooling units, and refrigeration units. (This is no exception, no refrigerators, air conditioning units, etc. even with certification of refrigerant removal.) I will be around in the yard most days to assist with unloading. Keep an eye on my page for updates and schedule coming soon!

Did you know? Cattle and calves are poisoned every year by not only licking and chewing on the batteries, but also drinking snow melt run off from battery piles!! Save your cattle, save your wallet! NOW until scales arrive for accurate purchasing of scrap batteries and other precious metals, I will be donating up to 25% of the proceeds from batteries, and other precious metals brought in under free will donation to the yard here in McClusky!

These items include:
Lead acid batteries
Aluminum
Copper
Brass

All of these items once sold to market will have between 15% to 25% of the earnings put into an account that will have the total donation proceeds displayed here on my page! These proceeds will be used to help Sheridan county ND! I will keep an eye on what’s happening in our community and will seek public votes and opinions on what proceeds are used for! Things like schools, parks, city projects, etc! Things that keep these small communities alive!

I will also keep track of anyone donating these items for a chance to win prizes when scales arrive, and we have an actual grand opening!

I would like public input on what days and what hours would be best to open for metal/appliance drop offs. What days would work best for the community? What hours? We will be accepting all metal and appliances with the exception of units containing refrigerant such as, refrigerators, air conditioning units, and deep freezers. I am trying to establish a schedule and the communities input would be of great help!

A new page for a new year! 2025 will hopefully be a year to remember, as we try to reopen for business! We will be accepting scrap appliances, with some restrictions. Days open to be scheduled later this month! Check in with me on messenger to let me know what you got, and set up a time to bring it into the yard! Later this summer the plan is to get a scale and begin purchasing scrap cars and other heavy scrap metal brought to the yard. This is all in the planning stages and will take time, but I invite you to follow along here, as we begin our journey!
