So I was fortunate enough while carving art one weekend to run into this amazing photographer there .jeanne.haas ! She took some great pics of me carving at Goebberts which was cool because I NEVER get pictures of myself carving! I asked if she could come do behind the scenes shots at ABC7 and luckily she was free! Here's just a few, and so many more to come!

This is a picture of me one of the producers at ABC took during the filming of the Windy City Weekend Halloween episode. Got a LOT more behind the scenes pictures and video to share from both media events this season, as well as calls other Halloween events I participated in that will be getting posted over the next week or so!

Meet GOEBBERT, my first recurring character!

I carved the first iteration of the baby pumpkin spider in 2020 at Night of 1000 Jack-o'-lanterns. I always liked how smooth and round I got his head and eyes, and always thought about making a larger version of him. 5 years later in 2025 I decided to make that larger version while carving at and it was a big hit there, and lots of fun to carve.

A week later I carved another version of the spider at in the Jack-o'-lantern Cave and again, big hit. 5 days later I needed to carve something large and wanted a stark contrast between the pumpkin and pumpkin on so again I decided on the spider with a couple new twists.

This year, the spider was carved exclusively with Goebbert's Farms pumpkins, each time it was carved. And after carving him at the cave, I decided this would likely be an annual recurring character I do that I would try to put in a unique "situation" each Halloween. I'm naming him Goebbert because the first full version of him was made at Goebbert's Farm and was meant to look like a baby spider hatching from an egg. So GOEBBERT IT IS! Look for him next year!

Halloween, and pumpkin season, are OFFICIALLY over... But I had one last pumpkin hoorah at today! We held a pumpkin carving workshop for kids, and it was a total blast! I hope all the kids that participated were inspired to try this more next year and become the next generation of Halloween Wars competitors! You all did AWESOME! Thank you to the Stubborn Sunflower for hosting this!

And to me EVERYDAY IS HALLOWEEN. Just picked up about 250 pounds of pumpkin for a sculpt I have to do tomorrow night for the HALLOWEEN SPECIAL this Halloween! Pics will come after the show airs this Friday. But for now you get this 💀🎃

ANNOUNCEMENT: to quote the Skeksis Emperor, "I'm not dead YET"! I will be making a special.. make that a "Halloween Special" appearance this Halloween on a certain show I may not yet be able to name! Look for me and the 4th evolution of my favorite pumpkin spider on the airwaves this Halloween in Chicago!

My final display at The Jack-o'-lantern Cave! This spider pumpkin may become a recurring character of mine each year now, I love carving him! So much fun in Kentucky!

The Jack-o'-lantern Cave ! What an unbelievably awesome experience. SO grateful to the team here that brought me to Kentucky to contribute to this amazing event! I had a blast carving here, meeting the staff, talking to the guests, and just being in this beautiful park for the weekend! Can't wait for next year, it's gonna be HUGE!
