All expenses directly associated with the sale of a product or service should be categorized as a cost of goods sold. This includes costs like labor associated with a specific job, materials needed to complete a job, equipment rented to complete a specific job, packaging, and shipping.

Expenses that would be paid regardless of how much a company brought in in sales would be considered an indirect or overhead expense and should not be included in your cost of goods sold. Utilities, rent, office supplies, tools, bank fees, administrative salaries, marketing and software are some common examples of overhead expenses.

No, it’s not your friend of a friend from church.

No, it’s not your sisters bestfriends boyfriend did that kind of work when he was younger.

Google- Nope 9/10 the reviews are bluffed and polished. I can go and find a company and pay for 100’s of google reviews with fake comments.

Yelp, Angie’s list, Home Advisor, Thumbtack mostly cookie cutter BS.

Answer- Find an Electrician, Plumber, HVAC or a General Contractor and ask them who’s the best! They won’t give you a bad referral because it would give them a bad rep. Real Contractors know who the best contractors are…..
