It Is All About The Curves . . .

When great architect Philip Johnson first visited the Guggenheim Museum in Spain, designed by Frank Gehry, he started to cry. The majestic curves emotionally moved the architect. When people are asked to choose between a linear object or one that is curved, people prefer the curved object. Why?

In a study published June 2013 by the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America, participants were asked to label a room beautiful or not beautiful. Participants found a room beautiful when it contained curves rather than a constant of straight lines. Curved designs as reported by psychologist, Oshin Vartanian's study "appears to affect our feelings which in turn could drive our preference."

Can You Find the Main Refrigerator in this Picture?

If you are having trouble it is because the Integrated Refrigerator is completely camouflaged. . .

There are three names used to describe top of the line appliances today. Many times these names, Built-in, Overlay, and Integrated are used interchangeably and this can be confusing.

A Built-in Refrigerator's sides are flush to the kitchen cabinets and the door(s) sticks out from the cabinets. The Overlay Refrigerator is a built-in, designed to be fitted with a panel to match your cabinet design, yet its door(s) still protrudes out from the kitchen cabinets and the compressor vents through the top of the unit. The Integrated Refrigerator, the most popular with kitchen designers, has no visible compressor vents and the door(s) is inset so that it is flush to the cabinets. That is why the refrigerator in this picture is hard to find.
