On today’s episode of “what do you do?” We are doing our pumps and punch downs of our red ferments. This helps aid in extraction of color and tannins and is done twice a day during the initial fermentation process. This requires strong upper body strength and a willingness to get w**e in your armpits. I (Desiree) have both. Hopefully my tasting patrons don’t mind that I have become my own native ferment. Shout out to Michael Lundeen who is seen in the back doing the very glamorous work of keeping everything clean.

Happy Birthday to our founder, w**e maker, grower, fruit hauler, forklift operator, chemist, disgorging expert, manager of distribution, book keeper, resident wildlife observer, mechanic, plumber, traveling salesman, philanthropist, yellow jacket combatant, vineyard manager, and artist, Michael Lundeen. This marks his 20th harvest for Lundeen W**es and his 25th working in the industry. Each year he shares his birthday with the culmination of our farming efforts and today is no exception. We are grateful for his (literal) tireless efforts and the special magic he has woven into our story and lives. We look forward to many more revolutions around the sun with you (and drinking all of the amazing w**e you are still yet to make).

Just a couple of Lundeens picking at Poverty Bend Vineyard. I often get asked what my favorite part of this w**emaking adventure is. Getting to see a true craftsman at work who truly is hands on at every step would be my answer. Craft w**emaking at its finest folks. Lundeen W**es is in its 20th harvest and Michael Lundeen does it with care and attention from vine to bottle.

School may be back in session but summer isn’t quite over yet! Beat the heat with a cold glass of Lundeen 2024 Sauvingnon Blanc. This beautiful w**e is fresh, complex, balanced, and delicious. Most importantly it is sure to help you savor those last precious moments of summer. This is one of my favorite small production bottlings and it is easy to see why it sells out each year. This limited bottling retails for just $24 and club members get 20% off of every purchase. We are down to our final 5 cases so get yours before they are gone!

When life gives you lemons, drink frosé. Yes I forgot a bottle of our new 2022 Brut Rosé in the freezer yesterday. While very bummed about the explosion of delicious w**e in our freezer, we can report that it made the most delicious shaved ice. Did Desiree make Michael try it in the name of science? Yes. Yes she did.

We have been making traditional method w**es since 2011. Estate grown, hand crafted, and always disgorged by hand by Michael Lundeen. W**es made with craft, care, patience, and the many hands that tended to it (in this very bottle) before it ever reaches your table.

It’s messy, mesmerizing, and always delicious.
