Shortly after last year’s inaugural release, Lettie Teague of The Wall Street Journal named our 2024 Eola Springs Rosé of Cabernet Franc the #1 Rosé in America. The response was overwhelming, and the wine sold out before summer even began. We are grateful once again to work with a small block of this rare Willamette Valley-grown Cabernet Franc. ***LIMITED!

We celebrated the official launch of our collaboration wine project, Call & Response, with Chef Chris Bianco two nights ago at Pane Bianco in Phoenix. The event was a beautiful realization of the intention of this wine… to inspire connection and bring people together around a table. For a few beautiful hours, we forgot about our phones, embraced the analog, and connected over food, wine, and music.

Pizza and wine, two things made to share, eight equal slices and an open bottle at the center of a table. In this case, an Oregon red blend intentionally crafted to pair with Chris’s cuisine.

In music, “Call & Response” is both a collaborative style and a cultural practice rooted in African musical traditions—one that creates a dynamic connection between artists and the audience. Often, one voice creates tension while another offers resolution, building rhythm and energy in the exchange. When the audience is called—frequently through chant—everyone can participate, regardless of musical skill. We see this wine as a “Call & Response” between a winemaker and a chef, with an open invitation for all to participate.

The team at Martin Woods would like to take pause during this harvest to recognize for recently being named as one of editors favorite wine bars in the world in the October issue’s cover story, as well as being awarded the “Best of Award of Excellence” for HiFi’s wine list which currently features over 1000 selections.

HiFi was opened coming out of the perilous times of covid with the intention of being a gathering place for all. A place to come together, embrace the analog, and truly connect around wine, music and food.

We are beyond grateful for the ongoing support of our incredible community, thank you. Mad respect and admiration to Wine Director Ben Denton, Sommelier Davis Dixon, Culinary Director Henry Kibit, and the great DJ’s who regularly join us to elevate the vibe.
