One of the core values of Wagner Consulting is exceeding expectations. So it’s only fitting that instead of the ONE announcement I promised to make today I’m excited to make TWO announcements.

First, thanks to Bob Mlynek and his company Ishkoo LLC, www.Wagner consulting.us “went live” earlier this evening. There will probably be a few kinks as it works its way through the interwebs, but it’ll be fully functional by the beginning of next week.

Second, knowing that one of the best ways to invest in our community is to support our local Chambers of Commerce Wagner Consulting is now a PROUD member of both the West Shore Chamber Of Commerce and Carlisle Area Chamber of Commerce. I’m excited to reconnect with long time friends at both and make new ones!!!

Let’s face it, there’s a LOT going on in the world right now…and not all of it is good. A lot is good, but that doesn’t get talked about…all we hear is about the worst of our world. That’s why one of my FAVORITE songs is Matthew West's "Do Something" because it’s a reminder that we can all do SOMETHING to make the world a better place. In fact, that’s what community-based, mission driven organizations are all about…doing something to make a difference in our community.
With that in mind, one of the core principles of Wagner Consulting is to show pro-impact organizations that are growth-minded some love. To that end, I’m excited to announce our first “give back” initiative….
Every week we will choose one organization “doing something” in our community and donate 5 – 10 hours of consulting time over the next 30 days to that organization to develop a comprehensive “Sustainability Assessment” to identify critical evidence-based best practices that will help them maximize their impact.
So if you work for, volunteer with, support, or know of an organization making a positive difference in the community, comment on this post and tag them. I’ll reach out to learn more about them, and choose one every week to work with over the next month. It’s my way of “doing something” for the organizations that are doing great things in our community.
By the way, this is only the first “give back” initiative announcement this week. More to come Thursday, so stay tuned!!!

Thanks for stopping by. I know there's not much here yet, but I promise there's LOT'S to come!!!

In the meantime, there's one thing I want to clarify:

You'll notice that I avoid the term "nonprofit". I don't believe that organizations who are seeking to change the world to change the world should define themselves by what they DON'T do. 501c organizations are no different than any other business except that instead of being profit-driven, they are mission-driven.

I'm a firm believer that words matter, and words have power. With that in mind, I will be doing what I can to avoid the misnomer of "nonprofit" moving forward.
