**Changes for Farrell Auction Service this Spring regarding our Spring Auctions! **

We are changing things up a bit this Spring and will have a new schedule that is different than our traditional Saturday-before-Mother's-Day Auction Event.

In lieu of our Spring Variety Auction at Westfield Farm Arena, this year, we are moving the fun & excitement “off-site” and hosting two special community auctions with a different, but similar focus.

We’ve combined the best of our grocery and flower auctions to bring you locally grown flowers and variety of meats (most provided by the Russell Brothers’ Farm); selection of snacks; and a variety of canned, dry and baked goods—all while supporting the local organizations. These auctions will be a combination of a Spring Flower Auction – Local Meats Auction – and a Grocery Auction!

Event #1: Supporting St. Michael’s School
WHEN: Saturday, May 2, 2026
WHERE: Ridge VFD – Ridge, Maryland
TIME: Auction starts at 5:00 PM - Doors open at 4:00 PM
Refreshments will be available for purchase!

Event #2: Supporting Hughesville VFD
WHEN: Saturday, May 9, 2026
WHERE: Hughesville VFD
TIME: Auction starts at 5 pm - Doors open at 4:00 PM
Refreshments will be available for purchase!

A little more of what to expect:
Flowers – Hanging Baskets – Combo Planters – Bedding Plats – Vegetable Plants
Meats – Hamburger (loose meat and burgers), Steaks, Pork Chops, Sausage (loose meat, links), Bacon, Chicken and More (mostly provided by Russell Bros. Farm – Morganza, MD).
Grocery/Snack Items – Chips and Snacks, Condiments, Dry Goods, Canned Good (Jellies and Jams), Fresh Baked Goods and More

The purpose of trying this approach is based on the following:
1. Support Local Organizations: Host an event to support local organizations – in this case, St. Michael’s School and the Hughesville VFD.
2. Boost and Support Local Farmers/Producers: Provide an additional venue for a local farmer to offer items they provide (flowers, meats, more).
3. Community Fun & Exciting Auction Event: Provide an exciting, fast-paced event for our neighbors and guests!

While we will not offer all the variety of items we typically offered at our traditional Spring Auction, we thought we would try this approach this year to support these two organizations.

Mark your calendars and come out to support these great causes while filling your freezer and garden. If possible, try to attend both events! Be sure to share this post as we work together to support our local community!
