We finally did it!

We didn’t just give the website a new coat of paint. We rebuilt the experience behind it.

The new NPK Industries website is live, bringing RAW Nutrients and KALIX CPN together under one roof for the first time.

Along with the new look and expanded grower resources, we’ve made some important changes behind the scenes:
• A new customer account experience
• A cleaner path between RAW, KALIX and NPK Industries resources
• Rebuilt shipping calculations designed to provide more accurate and competitive checkout rates
• Expanded carrier options where available
• One home for our products, education and the science behind what we do

Shipping has been a pain point for some of our customers in the past, particularly on smaller orders. We heard you, and addressing that was an important part of this update.

There is still more coming, but this is a major step forward for NPK Industries.

They’re the newest members of the NPK Industries agronomy team and a new way for us to dig into the science behind plant nutrition, fertigation, crop management, and the decisions growers make every day.

Yes, they’re AI.

But the knowledge they’re working from isn’t pulled out of thin air. It comes from the agronomy, plant biology, cultivation knowledge, educational material, and archives we’ve built around these brands over the years.

Think of them as a new delivery system for something KALIX has always taken seriously:

Yes, they’re AI generated, but the science behind what they share isn’t made up.
Charley and Terra are the new faces we’ll be using to help turn plant science, agronomy research, and real-world cultivation knowledge into content that is easier to understand, easier to use, and hopefully a little bit fun to watch.

Their first video, The Science of Purple, goes live Friday morning Oct 9th, 2026 at 6 AM on our YouTube channel.

They’ll take a quick look at anthocyanins, genetics, temperature, light, and what actually influences purple coloration in plants.

This is something new for us, and we want to know what you think.

Southern Oregon is having an unusually warm October.

The National Weather Service is forecasting lower to mid 90s in the Rogue Valley this week, with warm, dry conditions continuing through Thursday. For outdoor cannabis growers who are trying to finish flower, that matters. National Weather Service

Late-season heat can change the crop’s water demand, root-zone behavior, transpiration, and the way plants respond to irrigation and nutrition. At the same time, many outdoor plants are already deep into flower and carrying dense biomass.

This is not the time to run the same program blindly just because it worked last week.

Watch:
• how quickly the root zone is drying
• whether plants are wilting earlier in the day
• irrigation timing and uniformity
• salt accumulation in the root zone
• late-day heat stress
• flower condition as the crop approaches harvest

The calendar says October.

The plant only knows the environment it is growing in.

Manage the crop you have today, not the crop you expected to have this time of year.

If I had a bag of nickels for every time a grower has come into the shop and asked me, 'how do I get bigger buds', I'd have a large bag of nickels.

It sounds like a simple question. The answer really isn’t.

Bigger flowers are not built by one magic additive, a higher EC, or whatever bottle happens to have the most aggressive name on the shelf.

And bigger isn’t necessarily better.

Flower size is only one part of the equation. Genetics, usable light, canopy structure, root health, irrigation, nutrition, environment, and harvest timing all influence what a plant is capable of producing. Just as importantly, a bigger flower does not automatically mean better aroma, more resin, greater consistency, or a better finished product.

So I finally went down the research rabbit hole.

I looked at what the science actually tells us about cannabis flower growth, why “push it harder” is often the wrong answer, and how the same principles apply whether you grow indoors, in a greenhouse, or under the sun.

The takeaway is pretty simple:

Find the limiting factor. Improve the system. Don’t just add more input.

Thank you to everyone who used KALIX All Purpose 20-20-20 this season.

Our current inventory is running low, and the next scheduled production run will not take place until February 2027, as we prepare for next summer’s outdoor season.

That means there is a real chance we may sell out before the current season ends.

Growers who expect to need additional product should place their orders while inventory is still available.

If we do sell out, we can schedule a supplemental made-to-order production run with:

2,000 lb minimum order
50% production deposit

Plan ahead and secure what you need before the remaining inventory is gone.
