Excellent work - we couldn’t be more proud of our local fire service members!

In 2021, the U.S. Forest Service- Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest implemented a wildly successful interagency initial attack season in cooperation with ODF Southwest Oregon District, the Bureau of Land Management-Medford District and the Rogue Valley Fire Chief's Association. Our rock star FS fire management & interagency personnel kept 60 fire starts for a total of 53 acres burned on the forest. As if that accomplishment isn't enough, we have another success to share with you:

In staying on the accomplishment course, after a busy fire season providing stellar initial attack-as well as lending a helping hand to other forests-our firefighters are continuing to reduce fuels on the RRSNF while making our local communities safer and more resistant to wildfire.

It is our pleasure to announce that our fire management personnel have burned 1,346 acres of piles since October 1. This exceeds last year's total for the entire prescribed burn season! To add some icing to the cake, we've had no issues with smoke, and no control issues on any of the burns.

"We'll continue burning piles until we either don't have the right weather conditions, or we run out of piles," added Deputy Fire Staff Officer Rob Budge.

Keep up the great work, fire peeps!

Tactical Business Group will be branching out to work on wildlife conservation projects in 2021 - things are about to get WILD! Stay tuned everyone! 🐘

Good morning everyone!

This month marks the one year anniversary of my full time dedication to working exclusively as the owner of Tactical Business Group! Over the past 12 months, our work together has translated to over $7 million dollars in grant payouts so far (not including pending grants) - I cannot thank you enough for the opportunity to serve you, even if just with a phone call or an email! My goal for the next 12 months is to double that number, and I am determined to make this happen.

After I had officially completed the initialization of the GEMT program for the Oregon Health Authority in 2019, I set my sights on the new goal of working independently and having a direct impact on Oregon’s fire departments. Its been a BUSY year, but I’ve heard each and every one of you and listened to your much appreciated input.

With that being said - as of January, 2021, Tactical Business Group will be rolling out our ambulance billing operation! Numerous clients have requested for me to consider opening a billing agency, and this was something that I was not initially open to as I didn’t want billing to take away from my ability to serve you as a grant writer. As time progressed and the requests grew, I decided that this is something that I should take into consideration, but only if I could go about this in a manner that would not reduce my quality of service to you.

About a month ago, a miracle unfolded that led me to conversations with the one person who could make the billing operation work for my clients while keeping the feel of Tactical Business Group - Angie Hambright (former Ambulance Billing Supervisor - Springfield Billing)!

As of today, Angie Hambright is officially an employee of Tactical Business Group, serving as our Billing Operations Director! Angie brings with her over 20 years of ambulance billing experience, including several lead and management positions, and has received numerous awards and a unit citation for her work. She is an individual who my clients have asked for by name to seek out and add to my team - an absolutely excellent suggestion! Please give her a warm welcome to the team on her first day!

Moving forward, I will continue to be the lead regarding grants and consulting, as well as contracting (including ambulance billing). Angie will be the lead for day-to-day billing operations, and will assist me with other projects as needed.

We are utilizing Zoll Billing - Zoll's new cloud-based software provides our clients with direct, fully encrypted access to their billing software from any device 24/7. Zoll Billing integrates with all ePCR software and provides ambulance agencies with customizable access to the real-time status of patient accounts within the billing cycle.

October and November are my two busiest months of the year with GEMT cost reports and numerous grant deadlines - I will always do my best to provide you with a prompt response, but please know that I am hard at work ensuring that I complete your projects long ahead of their respective deadlines.

As we head into the busy holiday season, please remember to keep yourselves and your families safe! Again - thank you for a FANTASTIC first year! Cheers to making year two twice as good!

Our very own Cameron (Trooper Wiggett) has had quite the week.

Monday came with recognition from Governor Kate Brown for his efforts with the Alameda and Obenchain fires where he put in over 50 hours of overtime, rescued numerous victims, and arrested a man connected with the Alameda fire.

Yesterday he responded to a call in Butte Falls where a bull elk was found stuck in live, low hanging telephone wires - the bull was sedated, freed from the wires, and made his way back to the forest! Cam is a pretty special guy 💙

Many Oregon families may have lost all vital documents due to the deadly wildfires burning across the state.

The Center for Health Statistics has issued temporary rules to waive fees for people who have experienced loss of property or life associated with the wildfires. This temporary rule provides up to three certified copies of Oregon vital records free of charge if requested in connection with the Governor’s Executive Order 20-35. This new rule will remain in effect until March 1, 2021.

The State Vital Records office will provide up to three certified copies of a birth, death, marriage, divorce, domestic partnership or dissolution of domestic partnership free of charge if the record is requested in connection with Executive Order 20-35 related to wildfire response. The Executive Order only applies to fires that occurred in Oregon.
