GENERAL LABOR—2ND SHIFT
Job Description/Responsibilities
The duty of the General Laborer is to work and assist in any operation on the log yard, stave storage yard. Load/Unload log trucks, Load/Unload Dry Kilns, Assist Log buyers, Pull Log Tags and feed Stave Mill, Assist in all Environmental Clean-up duties, Load/Unload By-Products, Assist Kiln Manager, assist in all aspects of handling inventory, Assist in Dry Kiln Operation. Position involves all aspects of “yard” duties. Preferred 2 years’ experience with a wheel loader or heavy equipment.
Current Shift: 2nd Shift - 5:00pm-3:30am
Starting Pay: $18/hr + shift differential
Qualifications/Requirements
MUST
• Stand long periods of time
• Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, pull, push, climb a few steps, eye-hand coordination, grade the wood for defects, use hands for grabbing and wrists for rotating,
• Using tools such as tape measures and crayons.
• Ability to work in variable weather conditions, including cold and hot/humid conditions.
• Must have a High school diplomar or GED
• Must be able to pass a Drug screen & background check

What Will You Be Doing?
Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the milling equipment; this includes completing preventative maintenance tasks, assisting the operators with breakdowns and new installations as necessary.
Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and variable frequency drives (VFD)
• Ability to install, troubleshoot and maintain conduit wire, motors and electrical equipment on 240-volt, 3 phase and 440-volt systems
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues with machinery, utilizing your strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Identify and resolve PLC-related problems, utilizing your PLC troubleshooting skills
• Conduct machine safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
• Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment logs
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment

What Are We Looking For?

• 3+ years of prior Maintenance work experience required
• Ability to work 10-hour shift, Monday through Thursday, with overtime on Fridays as necessary
◦ Nights: 5:00pm-3:30am
• Demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair machinery issues
• Must be able to read electric schematics and have knowledge of the National Electric Code
• Knowledge of machine safety inspections and adherence to safety regulations
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferred
• Associate's or technical degree, preferred
