🌟 COI Member Spotlight: Virginia Tucker | Brevard Health Advantage

Today’s presentation was made by Virginia Tucker with Brevard Health Advantage, a local insurance resource helping individuals and families better understand their health insurance and Medicare options.

What really stood out today was the high level of personal customer service Virginia and the Brevard Health Advantage team provide. Their goal is not simply to help someone enroll in a plan and disappear. They want to be a year-round, long-term resource their clients can call when questions come up or circumstances change. Brevard Health Advantage describes its goal as becoming a “lifetime resource” for its clients.

Their services include Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement plans, individual health insurance, Health Insurance Marketplace assistance, dental and vision coverage, and several additional insurance products. They also help clients evaluate their current health coverage and compare options, with no-cost, no-obligation consultations available.

With Medicare Open Enrollment beginning October 15, Virginia and her team are ramping up for a very busy season. Medicare Open Enrollment runs October 15 through December 7, 2026, when Medicare beneficiaries can review and make certain changes to their health and prescription-drug coverage for 2027.

Virginia is a great resource to keep in mind when someone is approaching Medicare, reviewing existing coverage, has questions about their health insurance, or simply doesn’t know where to start.

🌟 COI Member Spotlight: Jennifer Barton | Seniors Helping Seniors

Today’s presentation was made by Jennifer Barton who is the owner of Seniors Helping Seniors of Brevard County, providing flexible, non-medical in-home support that helps older adults remain independent and connected in their own homes.

What makes Seniors Helping Seniors unique is their approach of matching older adults with mature, compassionate caregivers who can assist with companionship, transportation, errands, meal preparation, light housekeeping and other everyday needs — with flexible scheduling starting with as little as a few hours of help.

Jennifer is also a Certified Dementia Practitioner and has been actively involved in Brevard County’s senior community for many years.

A great resource to keep in mind when you know an older adult who could use a little extra help at home.

Great session today at Brevard COI kicking off our Special Education Series with Ted Del Rosario from Enagic. Ted pulled from his depth of knowledge and experience to present on networking. Despite the rainy weather, we had a strong turnout and an even stronger conversation.

Ted emphasized that real growth comes from building relationships beyond your immediate circle, being intentional with people, and consistently expanding your network. He also shared the FORM framework (Family, Occupation, Recreation, Message) as a simple, effective way to create meaningful conversations, and highlighted “Skill With People” by Les Giblin as a valuable read.
