James finds this little raccoon mom tucked away in the attic, and the second he talks to her, she ducks her head down like she’s trying to disappear. 😂

Very cute. Very much still not allowed to live in the attic.

Our goal is always to handle raccoon situations as safely and humanely as possible while protecting the home and keeping the family together whenever we can.

Sometimes the best reviews aren't about the wildlife—they're about how you were treated.

Regine described Mike as helpful, kind, knowledgeable, and patient. Most importantly, she felt "heard and cared for as a customer."

That's exactly the experience we want our customers to have when they call Florida Wildlife & Pest Management.

Thank you, Regine, for the kind words!

James gets a close-up look at bats clustered together in the attic and scurrying through the roosting area.

Pretty cool to see up close. Better when they’re not living in your house. 😄

🐀 Emil: 1. Rat: 0.

Another successful removal for the FWPM crew — and Emil looks way too happy about this one. 😂

Rats can squeeze into small spaces, damage materials, and make themselves very comfortable inside a home. Trapping is only part of the solution; finding and addressing how they got in matters too.

🦇 This is what an active bat roost can look like.

James is inside the attic getting a close-up look at a large group of bats clustered together in the corner and moving throughout the roosting area.

Bats often gather closely in protected spaces, and once they establish a roost, activity can be much greater than what a homeowner sees from outside.

A thorough inspection helps us understand where the bats are roosting, how they’re moving through the structure, and what needs to be addressed for a proper exclusion.

🚨 FWPM RAP SHEET: CASE #0009 🐾
Suspect identified: Virginia Opossum
Scientific name: Didelphis virginiana
Aliases: Possum. Night Wanderer. Accidental Houseguest. 😂

Charges include:
Unintentional trespassing. Dumpster diving. Sneaking into garages. Getting stuck where it absolutely does not belong. And looking extremely guilty despite having no idea how it got there.

But this Rap Sheet comes with a twist:
💙 This suspect is often RELEASED.

Opossums are beneficial members of Florida's ecosystem. They're scavengers and opportunistic feeders that help clean up organic material and eat a variety of insects and other small pests.

And unlike some of our repeat offenders, an opossum found around a home may not be trying to move in at all.

Sometimes these guys simply wander into the wrong place and can't figure out how to get back out. Garages, sheds, screened areas and other enclosed spaces can turn an innocent nighttime investigation into an unexpected call to FWPM. 😂

When appropriate, our goal is simple: safely remove the animal and get it back where it belongs.

Because wildlife management isn't about treating every animal like a pest. It's about understanding what's actually happening and choosing the appropriate solution.

If you've ever been in a Florida attic, you KNOW. 🥵

Sergio gave Daniel and Aaron a shout-out for tackling a tough attic job with a smile and professionalism from start to finish.

Even better? He walked away confident that the work was done right and unwanted visitors weren't getting back into his attic.

Thank you, Sergio, for the recommendation—and great job, Daniel and Aaron! 🙌

🐀 Think a cooler can keep a rat out? Think again.

James found this cooler with a huge hole chewed straight through the side—and when he opened it up, there was the rat inside.

Rats can be incredibly persistent when they’re trying to reach food, shelter, or nesting material. Plastic, foam, and other materials that seem solid to us may not slow them down much.

Here’s the proof. 😬
