🔬🏥 Memphis is making its mark on the future of medicine!

We were thrilled to welcome more than a dozen surgeons to the Bluff City for the launch of PBC biomed “The Surgeon & The Scientist” — a groundbreaking Medical Education initiative hosted at the MERI Institute right here in Memphis.

This immersive, one-day program brought together the worlds of surgical practice and cutting-edge science, covering bone biology, the role of biologics in repair and regeneration, and hands-on fracture fixation, translating evidence-based research directly into clinical application. 💡

And of course, our visitors got a taste of everything that makes Memphis so special along the way. 🎶🍖

This is exactly the kind of innovation that makes Greater Memphis a rising force in Medical Technology, one of the cornerstone industries of the Digital Delta. The program was incredibly successful, and we are already looking forward to next year!

🍖🔥 What better place to talk about the future of our region than over some world-class BBQ?

Today, the hosted an incredible gathering of regional leaders at the 2026 Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest, bringing together the Midsouth Development District, Millington Chamber, , City of Marion and the Mayors and Rossville, along with the Brownsville Haywood Economic Development Corporation for a lunch that was as rich in conversation as it was in flavor.

A huge thank you to Mack Weaker, Executive Director of , for stopping by and connecting with everyone in attendance — and a major shoutout to the BBQ Team for the incredible hospitality and keeping us well fed! 🙌🍖

We were thrilled to welcome the Association of British Healthcare Industries (ABHI) to the Greater Chamber this morning! Their visit is a testament to the growing reputation of Greater Memphis as a powerhouse in Healthcare & Life Sciences and a rising force in AI infrastructure.

During their time with us, ABHI had the opportunity to sit down with to hear firsthand how local government is creating the conditions for bold business investment. They also got a deep dive into what makes Greater Memphis one of the most compelling markets for technology and innovation right now.

We started in Chicago with the Cushman & Wakefield team to showcase the unique assets of Greater Memphis. Special thanks to Kemp Conrad and Shannon O’Hare for assisting in coordinating this effort. Back home, we hosted the Professionals Academy alongside Tennessee ECD, Baker Donelson, and Epicenter — welcoming a European packaging delegation eager to learn about U.S. innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic opportunities.

We were honored to host Belgian Consul General katherineraeymaekers at the Greater Memphis Chamberr for a special series of conversations with our business, cultural, and community leaders.

Her visit provided a unique opportunity to showcase the strength of Memphis’ business community, cultural assets, and entrepreneurial spirit. Together, we explored ways to deepen partnerships between Memphis and Belgium in areas such as trade, investment, innovation, and cultural exchange.

The dialogue highlighted Memphis’ global competitiveness, from logistics and healthcare innovation to music and entertainment, while also opening the door for new opportunities in Belgium’s priority sectors.
