Newborn Care Specialist(NCS)
What is a Newborn Care Specialist?
An NCS is an highly experienced and trained newborn care provider that provides scientific backed support during the fourth trimester. We have experience with premature babies, twins, breastfeeding and bottle feeding, breast milk storage, sleep foundations, and more!
When should you secure a newborn care specialist?
Sooner rather than later! We are typically booked out for 6 months. We will do everything we can to accommodate last minute requests though!
An NCS is typically with a family between 6-16 weeks to help you achieve the goals for your little one(s). We are able to help you with the transition of bringing home a little one, breastfeeding support, sleep hygiene, and any of those random questions we all have that we don’t quite think they warrant a call to the pediatrician. We are here to bring you the guidance and support from our extensive experience and training.
We are available for 8-24 hour shifts. Most common shifts are 10-12 hour shifts to allow for adequate rest. However, 24/7’s are becoming more popular for the first two weeks of the babies life and then transition to 10-12 hour overnight shifts. Daytime support is wonderful as well to help develop a routine and to allow a break for the parent. Let’s chat to discuss your needs and figure out a support plan that works best for you and your family.
