Achieving Your Goals WITHOUT all the noise....
Day 2: Open Yourself Up to Learning New and Different Things
Good morning!
Piggybacking off yesterday's post, here are the four that we need to pay attention to today:
1️⃣People
2️⃣Places
3️⃣Things
4️⃣Ideas
As with the first four, when it comes to seeing yourself as your first and primary business, these four things permeate every facet of your life, faith, family, ministry, education, business, and/or career.
With people, you have to understand that not everyone can or is meant to come with you on this journey to achieving your goals! You have to start surrounding yourself with true inner circle people who will call you out, make you focus, and keep you from half stepping and procrastinating.
This is scary because that means that the people you grew up with and around may have to assume a different role, play a different position, or be relegated to the practice squad!
You won't like it at first, but will soon see how necessary it was!
With places, realize that you may have to move to another side of town and learn what's in your city in order to achieve your goals! Relocation doesn't always mean another city, state, or country. You may have to move closer to where your help is!
This is scary because we often get comfortable where we are, know exactly how much we need to maintain, and are around our favorite people, places, and things. The problem is that we are ALSO stressed at the length of our commute, transportation options available, and more -- MOVE!
With things, let me just gone on and say that IT'S TIME TO UPGRADE! Be it your phone, phone plan, data plan, tablet/computer, TV, apps, tools, or software, you will NOT be able to continue to use outdated stuff! You may have to make some sacrifices, but it's worth doing! This applies to habit and lifestyle changes, too, because these types of improvements can also be physical, mental, emotional, financial, and spiritual.
This is scary because, as women, we are used to knowing what everything does, how everything works, etc. and, when we don't, we give up, say it isn't for is, call ourselves names, or complain. You won't get everything right or catch on to it the first time you touch it! You may have to watch some videos, get some coaching or training, or even go back to school!
With ideas, know that the ones you keep abandoning just might be the ones you need to catapult you toward achieving your goals! AND, just because someone else has the same idea doesn't mean they have YOUR version of that idea, so don't throw it away because of what you see in someone else -- ever been down the bread aisle at the store?
This is scary because you don't want to be laughed at, mocked, or ridiculed, but always consider your sources! Don't give up over people who are mad at the results you're getting from the steps they refused to take!
You ARE a business woman, so what you show to the world every day matters!
Which of these sits with you the most?
