Here's my photos for the Memphis Roller Derby double header, including the Memphis B-Sides' game with the Nashville Roller Derby Brawl Sharks!

Memphis gained an early lead, only to have Nashville flip them over. Memphis was able to regain some ground, but it became a photo finish as both teams went round and round for the last few remaining points. By the end, the spectators and were absolutely B-sides themselves with the extremely close score. 😉

P.S.: The hubby and I will be on vacation during the next game Nov. 2, but happily I'm already reserved for the Ho-Ho-Ho Burlesque Show in December. I'll see you all there!

Here are my photos for "MEMPHIS IN MAYHEM" Roller Derby Triple Header, starring Memphis Roller Derby and Tragic City Rollers. Fellow photographer Roger Cotton Photography and I decided to take two of the three games each so as to not utterly exhaust ourselves, so see his page for pics from the first and second games. These are mine from the second and third, including the finale. Congrats to home team Ghost City Ghouls on their victory. You go, ghoulfriends! 🥰

I found this evening that somehow, probably due to a technical glitch, there were some duplicates in my Flickr album of the photos I shot at Memphis Roller Derby's games on Saturday. So I had to delete my photo album there and re-upload. Hopefully this will result in better browsing. What a thrilling double-header! Back at the Pipkin after three years away, and this was the debut of Memphis Roller Derby's two new home teams, the Memphis Minions and the Ghost City Ghouls, and we had a fun Vampires vs. Zombies mashup. It was great to meet several new skaters, and having vendor tables and new MRD merch helped add to the fun, upbeat atmosphere. My hubby really got into it this time around and bought an MRD sweatshirt he can sport when we visit Las Cruces, New Mexico, and meet up with our friends at Crossroads City Derby late this coming week.

After over three years away due to the pandemic and a loss of venue, Memphis Roller Derby took over the Agricenter for a bout with Nashville Roller Derby and for a fun mashup, making for an exciting evening. It was so great to see and catch up with everyone again, especially those I hadn't seen since the last home game. The Agricenter was jam-packed (see what I did there?) and we all hope to see more MRD bouts soon.

Twin City Roller Derby vs Memphis Roller Derby
This month's home game by Memphis Roller Derby pitted them against Twin City Roller Derby. Twin City started out leading but Memphis came up behind them quickly, and then in the second half Memphis pulled into the lead and prevailed. Thanks for an exciting bout!
