Today's Word:
In life we’re always waiting for something—waiting for a dream to come to pass, waiting to meet the right person, waiting for a problem to turn around. Maybe you have been praying about a situation for a long time and don’t see anything happening. You could easily be discouraged. But you have to realize that the moment you prayed, God established a set time to bring the promise to pass for your healing, your promotion, and your breakthrough. It may be tomorrow, or next week, or five years from now.

God promises that there are set times in our future, but He doesn’t tell us when they will be. When you understand that the time has already been set, it takes all the pressure off. You won’t live worried, wondering when this is ever going to happen. You’ll relax and enjoy your life, knowing that the promise has already been scheduled by the Creator of the universe. Are you willing to wait with a good attitude, knowing that it’s on the way?

Prayer for Today:
“Father, thank You that You have established set times to bring Your promises to pass in my life. Give me the grace to accept Your timing and wait patiently, knowing that You’ve already scheduled things in for me. I believe that my times are in Your hands. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Father God, we come humbly before you thanking you for this day. Lord i pray that we will come to you for all of our needs. Lord we thank you for walking with us daily. Lord i pray you continue to strengthen us all. Lord help us to hold on no matter what we may be facing. Help us to smile and hold our heads up. Every new day is a blessing within itself. It’s easy to let difficulties and disappointments cause us to lose our passion in life and stop believing for things to turn around. But if you could see what God has planned for you—the doors He’s going to open, the people you’re going to meet, the giants you’re going to defeat—you would go out each day excited about your future. You’d have the expectancy that allows God to do great things. He has a comeback for every setback, a new beginning for every loss, mercy for every mistake. He’s already planned to bring you out better, to heal you, to promote you.

When you realize this, it changes your perspective. You know there’s not a problem you’ll face where God hasn’t already lined up a solution—the right people, the breaks you need, the favor. There’s not a dream for which God hasn’t already arranged the wisdom, the creativity, the connections, or the funding. When you know that the Most High God has planned out your days, you can be glad and live out of a place of rest.

“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven”
Ecclesiastes 3:1)

Has it ever seemed as though God has let you down? Perhaps it appeared that He didn’t come through for you in your hour of need or that He somehow forgot about you. Maybe you asked Him to do a certain thing, and He didn’t do it as quickly as you wanted Him to. He just seemed to be too late.

One reason we sometimes we feel that way is because we live on a human schedule. There is a time when we wake up. There is a time when we eat lunch. There is a time when we go to sleep. Our lives are governed by schedules.

Somehow God doesn’t seem to be bound by the same schedules we live by, because He lives in the eternal realm. We live in the physical and temporal realm. Therefore, it’s hard for us to understand how God can work outside of our schedules. He keeps a different schedule than we do. Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, “He has made everything beautiful in His time.”

God is above time. And when it seems as though He is late, this is what we need to remember: God is never late. He is always on time. We may lose sight of God, but He never loses sight of us.

Have you ever thought…🙏🏾
“I’m not good enough.”
“I’m not smart enough.”
“I’m not strong enough.”
“I’m not enough.”

Every day, we are bombarded with lies that try to convince us that we don’t have what it takes to follow Jesus. Every time we mess up, our insecurities reach out and tell us that we’ll always be weak—we’ll never experience the freedom Jesus says we can have. But Scripture reminds us that it’s Jesus’ divine power that gives us everything we need to live a godly life. With His strength, when we fall down—we can still get back up.

It’s in our weakness that God’s power is made perfect in us (2 Corinthians 12:9). By the power of Christ, nothing can keep its grip on us. Not fear, worry, doubt, defeat, discouragement, loneliness, hardship, or pain.
Through Jesus, we have everything we need to combat anything that attempts to seize our rightful identity.

God’s Word is filled with reminders of our true identity. It can remind you that…
You can rejoice in suffering because Christ suffered for you. (1 Peter 4:12-19, James 1:2-4)
You are greatly loved, and you can love others. (John 15:9-14)
Nothing can separate you from God’s love. (Romans 8:37-39)

When you understand who you are, that is when you will truly be able to do all things through Christ’s strength. So let’s start applying the life-giving truth we find in the Bible so that we move from victimhood to victory.

Every day we have a choice: expect the worst so we aren't disappointed, or decide to live a victorious life as the children of God. This life is available to us only because God is greater than anything or anyone that can work against us.

This verse reminds us that we have already overcome anything that might come our way—as long as we keep our focus on God and not on our problems.
God is with us no matter what we face… an angry coworker, a family member who is struggling, or our personal fears and insecurities. While we may feel like the world around us is spinning out of control, God is always constant and faithful.

How often do we forget that the God who created the universe and everything in it cares about every moment of our lives? Yes, this includes the times when we are feeling overwhelmed.

We can live in bold confidence, knowing victory is in front of us. We don't have to be overwhelmed or discouraged because God lives in us and is leading every step of the way.

Dear God, we come thanking you for this day! Lord i pray today that we please you in all we do. Lord as we go through our day we give you complete control. Lord touch our hearts and help us be good examples to those around us. Lord help us to see the good in all we go through and help us to appreciate the process. Lord strengthen us to fight the battles set before us and help us to continue to trust you no matter what it looks like. Continue to hide us from the enemy and keep us on the path that leads us closer to you. (Psalm 105:4 states) Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. Amen!

Lift Up the Shield of Faith

‘Hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.’
Ephesians 6:16

Pay attention to what Satan is shooting at you: ‘fiery arrows’! He knows that if he can light the fires of worry and anxiety within you, he can immobilise and defeat you. And notice what God has given you to protect yourself: ‘the shield of faith’. But you have a part to play: ‘Hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.’ A shield won’t help a soldier while it’s on the ground, or even at his side. He must lift it up to cover himself from attack. The same goes for you.

When the devil attacks you with unpleasant circumstances and thoughts that cause you to worry and be afraid, you must immediately lift up the shield of faith. Faith in what? Yourself? No, faith in the faithfulness of God! At times your faith in God may falter, but His love and care for you will never falter.
“Faithful is He Who is calling you [to Himself] and utterly trustworthy”
(1 Thessalonians 5:24 AMPC).

How do you lift up the shield of faith? By saying, ‘Lord, I trust you in this situation!’ Jesus talked back to Satan in the wilderness by saying, ‘It is written,’ and you must learn to talk back to Satan too. God’s Word is a protective shield that the devil’s arrows cannot pe*****te. When you hold it up like a shield, it’s effective against anything he tries to do in your life. Satan’s fiery arrows can come from any direction, from both your friends and foes. So, you must lift up the shield of faith!

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your loving kindness and waking us to another day with the ability to start anew. Thank you for the ability of our limbs, the thoughts in our minds, and the love in our hearts. Thank you for forgiveness in falling short of who you expect us to be and patience and understanding as we work daily to strive to be more like you. Lord your word says you'll never leave or forsake us, and we are in awe of your power, your glory, and the way you show your love. Continue to cover us with grace and mercy as you guide us in the way you want us to go. Protect us from anything that's not like you and cover us in your blood. Allow people to see you when they look at us and know that your hand is on us. For those that don't know you continue to cover them until they come into the knowledge of you. As we see your signs and wonders we thank you for being merciful, loving and kind, you are a good father. And we will continue to give you the glory. Amen

"God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.."

We were created to worship.
But what does worship mean, exactly? We may think about church, listening to sermons, singing hymns, and bowing our heads in prayer, and those are all part of worship. But the deeper meaning is an expression of love to our Savior that comes from our souls. We worship God because of who He is.

God is more amazing than anything we can comprehend. All of our praise and gratefulness should be directed toward Him.
Sometimes we allow our schedules and busy lives to determine how much time we have to spend worshiping God. But He wants us to stay in a continuous attitude of worship in everything we say and do. And He requires that it comes from a heart that worships Him in truth.

God desires worship that is pure and uncoerced. We shouldn't say, sing, or display worship that isn't sincere. God knows the real intention of our motives. The amount that we worship God is often based on how much He means to us. When we think about all that God has done and His mercy toward us, praise should flow from our hearts. In the times that we take Him for granted, we are being ungrateful, and our worship reflects those feelings.

When we enter into eternity with Jesus, we will finally see the One we have worshipped. Until then, we will continue to praise Him while we are on Earth.
