The best client experiences begin with people who genuinely care.

That is one of the many reasons we are proud to recognize Nathan M. Archuleta, CFP®, AIF®, as this year’s Spirit of Summit Award recipient!

Presented annually at our Summer Summit, the award honors someone who goes above and beyond for our clients, colleagues and firm. Nate does exactly that through his thoughtful leadership, commitment to excellence and willingness to step in wherever he is needed.

Whether he is caring for his own clients, helping improve the experience we provide across Summit or supporting a teammate, Nate leads with humility and intention.

One colleague described him as “always willing to go above and beyond and just generally a pleasure to deal with.”

Congratulations, Nate! Thank you for the care you bring to every relationship and for representing the Spirit of Summit so well.

Estate planning is about more than documents. It is about making things easier for the people you care about.

Many families know they need a plan but feel overwhelmed by where to begin. A simple checklist can help turn a complicated process into manageable steps, including:
• Organizing important documents
• Reviewing beneficiaries
• Establishing powers of attorney
• Naming the people who will carry out your wishes
• Making sure someone knows where to find everything

Even small details matter. Does someone know how to access your digital accounts? Would your family know who to contact or where your documents are stored?

You do not have to solve everything at once. Getting organized is a meaningful first step toward creating clarity for your family and helping ensure your wishes are understood.

What is one practical detail you think families are most likely to overlook? Share it in the comments to help others strengthen their own checklists.

What does Summit’s growth mean for our clients?

It means more resources, broader expertise, and more time for advisors to focus on the people they serve.

As Summit continues to grow, we remain focused on delivering a consistent, proactive client experience across all offices. We invest in technology and operational support that give advisors more time for meaningful conversations. We provide educational content that helps clients make informed decisions between meetings. And we take a coordinated approach to investments, taxes, income, estate planning, family priorities, and long-term goals.

In a new article in Financial Advisor Magazine, our CEO Randy Morris, CFP®, ChFC®, AIF®, WFA® and Head of Advisor Success Seamus O'Brien, CFP® explain how this commitment to serving clients well has become the foundation for Summit’s organic growth.

We are honored by the recognition, but what matters most is the impact: stronger relationships, more connected guidance, and an experience clients feel confident sharing with the people they care about.

A new pair of shoes can mean so much more than a new pair of shoes.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our Scottsdale team, clients, and community, we collected 30 pairs of new shoes through our Back to School Shoe Drive with Harvest Compassion Center.

At Summit Wealth Group, we believe helping people pursue what matters most doesn't stop with financial planning. It's about showing up for our neighbors and strengthening the communities we're proud to serve.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's shoe drive a success. Your generosity will help local students start the school year with confidence.

As Summit grows, one priority remains unchanged: creating a better experience for the people and families we serve.

Summit Wealth Group Founder and CEO Randy Morris, CFP®, ChFC®, AIF®, and Head of Advisor Success Seamus O’Brien, CFP®, recently joined Jack Sharry on WealthTech on Deck to reflect on Summit’s first year as an independent RIA.

They discuss how independence has allowed Summit to strengthen our capabilities, invest in our team, and build the infrastructure needed to support increasingly complex client needs, while preserving the relationships and culture at the heart of our firm.

The conversation also explores what is ahead for Summit and how thoughtful growth can help us continue delivering more coordinated guidance and a stronger client experience.

Would you buy a vacation home with family or friends?

Sharing the cost of a favorite getaway can make the idea feel more attainable. It could mean more vacations together, a familiar place to visit and even rental income when the home is not being used.
But who gets the house during the holidays? Who pays when the water heater breaks? And what happens if one owner wants to sell?

Before buying, talk through four important questions:
📍 How much do we really love the location?
🏠 How much do we really love the house?
📅 How will scheduling work?
⚖️ What legal framework and ground rules do we need?

Clear expectations from the beginning can help protect both your finances and your relationships.

Would you consider co-owning a vacation home? Why or why not?
