Should you celebrate Halloween as a Believer in the MOST HIGH GOD?
Christians, churches, and many other religious groups celebrate "Halloween." However, is it right, and do you know what it means to dress yourself, your little ones, and others in costumes that represent good or evil today? Will you go trick-or-treating, have Halloween parties, go to haunted houses, do pumpkin carving, scare people (especially children), and more today?
DOES THE BIBLE MENTION HALLOWEEN?
The Bible does not mention Halloween as such, for obvious reasons, since the festivity developed centuries after it was written. However, it relates to Halloween themes, such as death, darkness, and spiritual or otherworldly forces.
STOP: if Halloween is related to death, darkness, and spiritual or otherworldly forces, why are you, as a Believer in the HIGHEST GOD, participating in the celebration? It appears it doesn't matter the type of costume you wear; it is the fact that you are honoring the day set aside for evil. Wow, I cannot believe that I thought that if I went to a church and dressed myself or my child in good (holy) costumes, it would be okay. After all, I was counter-attacking the bad (evil costumes) right?
The BIBLE:
GOD makes it very clear that He does not want us to participate in evil, no matter how harmless or fun it may appear. The root of that thing is still wickedness, darkness, and destruction.
1 Thessalonians 5:22 says, "Abstain from all appearance of evil."
The Bible instructs Christians to avoid participating in pagan practices that involve witchcraft, the occult, and the worship of other deities.
ARE YOU CHILDREN OF THE LIGHT OR DARKNESS?
Ephesians 5:7-11 "For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of Light (for the fruit of the SPIRIT is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them."
Biblical Scriptures:
There are many more scriptures explaining why you, as a Believer in the HIGHEST GOD, should avoid pagan holidays or celebrations. God has given us festivals (Holy Days) to celebrate—Appointed Times!
APPOINTED TIMES:
The Appointed Times of the LORD are particular times set by God. During these appointed times, He has revealed Himself and His ways throughout history. Therefore, celebrate and rejoice in learning more about Him from His Appointed Times (Lev. 23).
Be Filled with the SPIRIT of GOD!
Let go and Let GOD's HOLY SPIRIT fill you to the brim, worshipping, praising, and referencing HIS Holiness!
Love you all!
