On the other side

Keep moving forward
Words whispered in my darkest hours
Quiet affirmations to remind me
Cementing my will to go on

on the other side
These pains birth forth my future
Bringing to fruition the fruits of my labor
Rewarding my efforts

But in the dark
As I lay drowning in unshed tears
Trying to hide those that fled to already wet pillow cases
Silent prayers push forward a spirit growing weary
Tired of the fight
This side aching to be free of its thorn
Needing to be reminded
Of the other side
