Making this goat seesaw from an old tire and chunk of plywood was a great use of my time! These kids are loving it!

Old dog, new tricks, and all that jazz. Took a big step out of my comfort zone recently to make this purse. Been wanting to make something in this style for a while now, just needed the proper motivation to make it happen. When you watch someone grow from a newborn to a high school grad, that’s the motivation that was needed! This purse is based off of the purse my maternal grandmother carried on her honeymoon. I tweaked the design just a little, but the overall essence of the design remains. And of course any well made purse has to have a matching key fob! That was a journey all on its own. I am very pleased with the final results of this project, and so was the high school grad! Congrats Josie, we are so dang proud of you!

The sanding drum on my Power Edge Burnisher from Weaver Leather Supply was getting a little clogged up and was less effective than it should be. It helps pull a lot of the leather fibers out of the grit and helps extend the overall life of the sandpaper.

Our wet formed Valet Trays are more complex to make than they look. The final results are well worth the trouble.

While Dot mostly gets her head scratches from Mesquite trees, she also enjoys a stiff bristled brush from time to time.

The buckle end of our leather belts needs to be thinned down a little before we install the buckle. If you leave the leather at its full thickness you’ll end up with a bulky section right up front and that’s not comfortable at all. I use my Heritage Skiver from Weaver Leather Supply for this task. It gets the job done with zero fuss, my kind of tool indeed.
You can grab this and many other fine tools at Weaver Leather Supply. Use the coupon code TX10 at checkout to knock 10% off of your purchase.
