It is with mixed emotions that I announce that JST is closing.
I have met hundreds of people, and have been able to connect with the community in ways I didn't know were possible. Donating, connecting my customers with trusted realtors and buyers, making lasting relationships along the way, and everything in between has been nothing short of amazing.
Over half a million pounds of junk removed. About 90,000 pounds of metal has been recycled and kept out of the landfill. Dozens of donation drops. 4 homes sold. Referrals to and from other local junk removal specialists. 2 stores in the Fox River mall. Storm relief cleanup. You name it, I've done it.
It has been a crazy, rewarding, stressful year and a half! I can tell you it was certainly all worth it! It was worth the sleepless nights. It allowed me to be present for my children. Taking them for haircuts, doctors appointments, the first day of school, random adventures. I wouldn't trade those opportunities for anything.
I have recently accepted a job working full time for a previous employer. This was certainly not an easy decision to make, as I wasn't sure I wanted to give up the freedom and flexibility of working for myself. I wasn't sure if I wanted to give up helping people out with all the odds and ends that I offered.
Thank you to everyone that used JST. You fed my family. You paid my mortgage. You bought my children clothes and toys. You put gas in my car. You paid for the Oreos that I would sneak from the pantry after my kids went to bed. You all quite literally paid for us to live. For an entire year and a half. That's an amazing feeling.
I'm sure I'll be back doing my own thing one day. What that may be, I'm not entirely sure. This isn't goodbye forever, it's simply goodbye for now ❤️
