Well, this is a little surreal.

Yesterday I was on CBS Chicago , and today I was on WGN News WGN talking about my book, Everybody Sucks Sometimes.

I’ve spent most of my career talking about mental health, building businesses, and trying to convince people that being human is a whole lot messier than we like to admit.

And now I get to do it on TV. While promoting a book with the word “sucks” in the title. I’m sure Jerome Abrams and Debra Abrams are proud my colorful language has gotten me this far 😜

In all seriousness, it’s pretty damn cool to see something I’ve poured so much of myself into starting to make its way into the world.

I’ve spent a good portion of my life trying to understand why people do the s**t they do. And after all these years as a therapist, CEO, mom, and friend, I’ve come to one very scientific conclusion: people are f***ing weird. Myself included.

I love the stories, the ridiculous “OMG” moments, the inappropriate laughter, and all the messy lore in between.

Life is too short to take yourself so seriously.

I’ve spent a lot of my career building things, growing businesses, and working behind the scenes. And while I’ve never exactly been known for keeping my opinions to myself, or my face away from the internet, I’ve realized I’m ready to get a little more comfortable being seen, as me.

More writing. More speaking. More sharing what I’ve learned along the way. The successes, the spectacular failures, the things I wish someone had told me sooner, and the things I still haven’t quite figured out.

So, I made myself a new website! With lots of pink, because duh!
