Mentor Fire Explorer Post 2911 The post is a career exploration program that consists of youths ranging from the ages of 14 to 21 who are interested in the Fire Service and EMS Fields.

The Mentor Fire Explorer Post 2911 is a local post for the Learning for Life Fire Service Exploring program. Our post is located in Mentor, Ohio and was created in 1987 by the Mentor Fire Department. The post is a career exploration program that consists of youths and young adults ranging from the ages of 14 to 21 who are interested in the Fire Service and Emergency Medical Service fields. The members of our post also assist the Mentor Fire Department at fires and at community events.

Below are upcoming events for the Mentor Fire Department. Explorers have been asked and are expected to help out at these events. (Times are subject to change)

June 17: 9am-2:15pm Safety Town Water Safety Day
June 18: 9am-2:15pm Safety Town Fire Safety Day
June 24: 9am-2:15pm Safety Town Water Safety Day
June 25: 9am-2:15pm Safety Town Fire Safety Day
July 4: Parade in the Headlands around 10am
July 4: Fire works display Mentor High around 7pm
July 22-26: 9am-3:15pm Camp 911 at Mentor Beach Park
July 27: 11am-7pm Headlands Beachfest
August 23 & 24 Mentorfest (new version of It's Better in Mentor Days) Time TBD

Please note that you do not have to stay the entire time. If you have to come late or leave early, that is okay, just let us know ahead of time.

For those that are still in high school and are in need of community service hours, helping at these events will count for community service hours.

This is a prefect opportunity to give back to the Mentor Fire Department and the community that supports us!
