🐾 Meet Echo, our Consultation Supervisor.

We thought we were meeting with the homeowner, but it quickly became clear who was really in charge.

Echo carefully monitored the conversation, supervised the consultation, and made sure we stayed on task. His only payment requirement? A few ear scratches and plenty of attention.

We'd say he did an excellent job. ❀️🐾

πŸ’Ž Before you give it away...
πŸ’Ž Before you throw it away...
πŸ’Ž Before you put it in the yard sale...

Take a second look.

Most of us have items tucked away in drawers, closets, cabinets, and storage boxes that we no longer use.

And that's okay.

But every now and then, an item that seems ordinary turns out to have unexpected value.

Old jewelry.
Coins.
Sterling silver.
Watches.
Collectibles.
Even things that have been sitting unnoticed for years.

We're not suggesting you keep everything.

We're simply suggesting that some items may be worth a second look before they leave your home.

Sometimes the hidden treasures in our homes are the ones we least expect.

πŸ‘‡ Have you ever discovered that something you owned was worth more than you thought?

πŸ—„οΈ JUNE DECLUTTER CHALLENGE - JUNK DRAWER DAY

We've helped a lot of families sort through their homes over the years, and we can confidently say one thing...

Every home has a junk drawer. πŸ˜„

You know the one.

It's where batteries, takeout menus, spare keys, rubber bands, coupons, pens that may or may not work, and mysterious cords all end up living together.

The funny thing is, the junk drawer usually isn't about clutter.

It's about life.

It's where we put things when we're busy raising families, working, entertaining, and simply living.

So today's challenge is simple:
Spend 10 minutes tackling that famous drawer.

You might even rediscover something you've been looking for. πŸ˜‰

πŸ‘‡ Be honest...
What's the strangest thing currently hiding in your junk drawer?

πŸ«™ It starts with one jar.

Then another.

Then a few mason jars.

Then a couple of pickle jars because they're "really good jars."

Before you know it, you've got an entire collection waiting for the perfect project. πŸ˜„

We hear it all the time:

"They have potential!"

And honestly, they're not wrong.

The challenge is deciding how many jars are enough to support all those future creative plans.

πŸ‘‡ Be honest...

Which team are you?

πŸ«™ "They spark creativity!"
🏠 "They spark storage problems."

Or are you living in a household with one of each? πŸ˜‚

🍽️ Let's talk about the "good dishes."

You know the ones.

The special china.
The crystal glasses.
The serving platter that's only used once a year.
The fancy napkins waiting for the "right occasion."

Over the years, we've helped many families sort through their homes, and one thing comes up again and again:

People save their favorite things for someday.

But someday has a funny way of slipping by.

So here's our question for today...

Do you use your good dishes regularly, or are they still waiting for a special occasion?

πŸ‘‡ Tell us in the comments.

✨ JUNE DECLUTTER CHALLENGE ✨

June starts Monday… and we thought this was too good not to share again 😊

One bag a day.
One drawer at a time.
One small step toward less overwhelm.

You don’t have to do all 30 days.
You don’t even have to fill a whole bag every day.

But sometimes having a place to start makes all the difference πŸ‘πŸ½

πŸ‘‡ Which day on this list would be the hardest for you?
πŸ˜‚ And be honest… who already knows β€œjunk drawer day” is going to be a problem?

πŸ“Œ Save this post so you can come back to it throughout June.

What a wonderful day at the Taylor Community. πŸ’š

Robin and Sarah from Tailored Transitions, LLC had the opportunity to present their downsizing seminar, Change Your House, Keep Your Home, to a room full of engaged, thoughtful attendees β€” and the energy in the room was incredible.

There were laughs, meaningful conversations, thoughtful questions, and so many people sharing their own stories and experiences.

One of the most rewarding parts of what we do is helping people realize they are not alone in this process. Downsizing and life transitions can feel overwhelming, but with the right mindset, support, and plan, it truly can become manageable.

We were also excited to have so many attendees purchase copies of our book, Change Your House, Keep Your Home, to continue the process at home. πŸ“š

A huge thank you to the Taylor Community for the warm welcome and wonderful afternoon!
