💎 A $3 Thrift Store Find Turned Into $1,861! 💎

You never know what hidden treasures might be hiding in plain sight!

Recently, Laura purchased a jewelry box at a thrift store for just $3.

When she brought the contents to Robin at Tailored Collectibles Advising, she discovered that among the pieces were sterling silver, 10kt gold, a platinum wedding set, and even a 14kt gold watch!

💰 The total payout? $1,861!

What does 925 mean? 🤔

If you've ever looked closely at a piece of jewelry or silver and noticed a tiny 925 stamped on it, that little number is telling you something.

925 means the piece is 92.5% silver, which is the standard for sterling silver.

But not every piece of silver will be marked 925. You may see Sterling, .925, or other silver hallmarks, especially on older or foreign pieces. And silver-plated items can sometimes look very similar to sterling.

So if you're cleaning out a jewelry box, going through inherited items, or looking at old flatware and serving pieces, don't assume something has no value simply because you don't recognize the markings.

When in doubt, let someone who knows what they're looking at take a look.

Sometimes that tiny mark can tell quite a story. 😊
