Today and tomorrow, I am teaching my Combo course! I could not be more excited to meet these lash babes!🤟🏻⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Teaching my Combo course is my absolute fav course to teach, because I realized I love specializing in beginners who are starting their lash biz from scratch! It’s so fun to watch my students grow their lash biz from the ground up!🔥⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I also love teaching the important basics and fundamentals of lashing. I can’t stress how important good lash fundamentals and basics are if you want a long lasting lash career!⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I know sometimes Combo courses get a bad rap. Combo means I teach Classic and Volume in one course vs. Classic and Volume separately. I agree if the course is a quick in-and-out 1 day course, but my courses are the opposite. I personally think Combo courses can be very beneficial to kick starting your lash career, if they’re done right!⁣⁣
⁣⁣
My students complete an entire online theory course of 16 chapters BEFORE they come. That’s followed by 2 full 9 hour days in-person with me doing hands on. They complete practice sheets, exercises, 2 mannequin full sets and 2 live model full sets. After my students leave, they also get access to my online tutorial course to keep practicing everything we learn at home. They also have lifelong access to me as a mentor.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
My course is very in depth and focuses on safe and healthy techniques. I also make it a point to teach in a way that makes the transition with Classic and Volume easy.⁣⁣

I AM SO EXCITED FOR TODAY!🤟🏻⁣⁣

I finally have a sensitive adhesive to recommend! It’s this sensitive adhesive!

I’ve tried many and gave up on sensitive adhesives until I found this bottle of gold!✨

Normally…. Sensitive adhesives take foreverrrrrr to dry, close my fans and get awful retention.

Not this sensitive glue!🙌🏻 The dry time was 1-2 seconds. My fans did not close! And my client has had great retention!

I used it on a client who is allergic to lashes. We’ve tried everything to help her allergic reactions and she still reacts, so we definitely know it’s to the adhesive. She usually will have a miserable 3 day long reaction where her eyes turn swollen, red, flaky and itchy.

We tested this sensitive glue on her and her reaction was night and day! It was a very mild reaction that only lasted one day and the symptoms were a lot less mild!

is so kind and gave me a discount code for you guys to try this glue! Visit her website and use discount code ‘whiplashqueen’ at checkout for 15% off!

P.s. I always recommend doing a patch test to see how your allergic client will react. Keep in mind that when someone is allergic to adhesive, it’s usually due to the cyanoacrylate ingredient in the adhesive. Sensitive adhesives usually do still contain cyanoacrylate, just a lot less of it! So I def recommend you always do a patch test first!

Peep these healthy natural lashes after 3 consistent years of wearing lash extensions!!!👀

Yup… you read that right!

My client is getting some permanent eyeliner done, so we needed to remove her extensions for the procedure! She’s been a client of mine for 3+ years. She has “mature” natural lashes and this is what they looked like when we removed her extensions!😍 They were strong, healthy and had ZERO damage.

If you’ve ever trained with me or have followed me for a while, you know how important the lash basics are to me and how important safe and proper lashing is to me! THIS IS WHY!

👉🏻This is why proper isolation and checking for stickies matters.

👉🏻This is why selecting the proper length and diameter for the NL matters.

👉🏻This is why proper glue usage matters.

👉🏻This is why proper placement matters.

👉🏻This is why understanding the eye anatomy and sanitation matters.

👉🏻This is why educating clients on proper aftercare matters.

Lashes DON’T damage natural lashes IF they’re applied correctly by the lash technician.

BE THE LASH TECH THAT GIVES LASHES A GOOD REP!🤟🏻

Cutie little fan that shed from my lash line this morning!🤌🏻

Every extension should shed looking just like this… 1 fan to 1 natural lash!

This applies to a classic lash, a volume fan and a mega volume fan. It doesn’t matter the type of extension, it’s all 1:1 isolation.

We shed 2-3 NL’s per eye, per day, just like the hair on our head sheds everyday. That’s due to the hair growth phases. When our NL’s are in the growth phase to naturally shed out, the extension will go with it. This is completely safe, natural and what our bodies are supposed to do. New lashes grow in and then the cycle repeats over and over. This is why we need fills every 2-3 weeks.

Extensions do NOT damage natural lashes when they’re isolated properly and shed out with their natural shedding cycle (telogen phase).

Extensions DO damage natural lashes when they’re not isolated properly and get pulled out before they’re ready.

You know how with waxing, if you go enough, eventually your hair doesn’t grow back in!?

Lashing is the same! If the lashes get pulled out prematurely enough from improper isolation, they eventually won’t grow back in. Not to mention, extensions that aren’t isolated hurt and tug!

THIS IS THE EXACT REASON WHY ISOLATION IS SO IMPORTANT AND WHY YOU SHOULD NEVER UNTAPE A CLIENT WITHOUT CHECKING FOR STICKIES!🤟🏻

Wanna know why I personally believe that going into lashes is one of the least risky beauty services you could offer?⁣

Let me break this down why. It’s the real logic I used when I first was deciding if I was going to make lashes my full time career or not.⁣

Reasons why I personally believe lashes is one of the least riskiest beauty services to offer...⁣

1- Lashes have an insanely quick client turn around. Girls have to get their lashes filled every two weeks, which means they’re coming back every two weeks. That means you only have to book enough clients to fill two weeks worth (I’m not saying it’s easy, but easier than other services)! I don’t know many other beauty services where your client comes back that often. Think about it… With hair, your client comes back every minimum of six weeks. And if you are a client like me, I go back and get my hair done a couple times a year LOL. With skin, your client can come back every minimum of four weeks. With micro blading your client comes back once a year. OK you get the point.⁣

2- The actual product cost for lashes is very low compared to other beauty services. You’re looking at about $7/full set and $4/fill in PRODUCT.⁣⁣⁣

3- Lashes is one of the few treatments where a client can literally look night and day with and without them. Because of that, clients can’t live without them and will come back for years. If you’re like me, til you die 😂 And 90% of my clients will say the same thing.⁣

4- lashes don’t go out of trend. They just adapt with the trends.

WHERE TO START WHEN YOU WANT TO BECOME A LASH ARTIST…⁣

1. Research your state & country requirements to become a lash artist! Some states and countries require specific licenses and some don’t! Some license requirement examples are… an esthetician license, a cosmetology license, a medical license or a speciality license.⁣
2. If your state and country do require a specific license, take the steps to get the proper licensing required to lash. Here in AZ, esthetician school is 4 months full time and 8 months part time. Cosmetology is about double the time of esthetics.⁣
3. Start researching lash courses! Make sure that you do thorough research to find a lash course and trainer that is the best fit for you and that is HIGH QUALITY.⁣
4. Invest in a lash course and then practice like crazy! Practice on models to build skill and confidence.⁣
5. Research your state regulations and make sure that you set up your lash biz in accordance to those laws.⁣
6. Come up with marketing strategies and work on building your portfolio and credibility to get clients and build your clientele.⁣

I love helping and have been in your exact shoes before!

A volume fan is a volume fan. It doesn’t matter how you created the fan as long as you made a fan!⁣

Did you know there are TONS of different volume techniques you can use to create a volume fan?⁣

Some volume technique examples are…⁣
1. Lonely fan⁣
2. Pinch⁣
3. Roll⁣
4. Pop⁣
5. Shimmy⁣
6. Connected⁣
7. Flower ring ⁣

One thing I figured out when I was new to volume was… how important it is to try different volume techniques! What works for one person doesn’t always work for someone else! What feels natural for one person might not feel natural to someone else!⁣

This is what lead me to teach multiple volume techniques in my lash courses because I realized everyone will be naturally good at a different technique!⁣

Every training, my students try all the methods I teach. Then… we narrow down the method(s) that feels the best and the most natural to them! Each training, students pick all different methods and it’s honestly so fun to watch! It’s what makes us unique as a lash artist!⁣

There is no ONE right method. You just need to find the method that is best for YOU! At the end of the day, a fan is a fan, it doesn’t matter how you created it!⁣

Now I’m curious… WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE VOLUME METHOD(S)?

Shoutout to all my new lash artists!⁣⁣
⁣⁣
YOU HAVE TO START SOMEWHERE.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
We all did.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Do NOT compare your chapter 1 to somebody else’s chapter 20. That will eat your confidence so quick and make you want to quit.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Allow yourself to be a beginner.⁣⁣
Practice your buns off.⁣⁣
Put in the hard work.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
It’ll pay off and you’ll be creating your dream sets in no time.⁣

I think it’s also important not to compare timelines. For me personally, I am a slow learner in EVERYTHING I do. Nothing comes easy for me. Lashing was no different.⁣

For me and every new skill I learn in lashing, it takes me lots and lots of practice. I’ve seen students come to my trainings who are the same as me and it takes more time to get where they want to be.⁣

On the other hand, I have students who come to training and are naturals on their first models and lashing just clicks quick.⁣

My point is… NEVER COMPARE and do NOT give up!🦋
