The retained Primitive Reflexes creating problems for kids with Dyspraxia…

Children with dyspraxia experience a neurodevelopment condition that often prevents motor development. However, when retained Primitive Reflexes remain present in a child’s development, it can create even more issues with motor skills and cognitive learning.

If retained reflexes and dyspraxia are both causing problems for a child, you may see the following:

😣Clumsiness or frequent tripping
😣Difficulty with balance and coordination
😣Messy or slow handwriting
😣Trouble using scissors, buttons, or utensils
😣Delayed milestones like crawling or walking

If a child retains one or multiple retained Primitive Reflexes, it begins to impact the child’s movement and mobility. As a child grows, parents and teachers start to notice gaps in motor skills where dyspraxia plays a role.
