Before: about 3 inches of original insulation, gaps in the corners and uneven levels, flattened along the paths where techs have walked it for 20 years.

After: blown to a full R-38 of fiberglass insulation, doesn't settle and levels out. Also comes with a lifetime warranty.

If you're replacing your AC this year, the compressor you pick changes your SRP rebate by hundreds of dollars. Most people don't find this out until after. 🧮

Single-stage: $75 per ton Multi-stage: $150 per ton Variable-capacity: $225 per ton

So a 4-ton variable-capacity system = $900 back. The same 4 tons in single-stage = $300.

That $600 gap is why "the cheapest unit" often isn't actually the cheapest unit once you run the numbers. And that's before you count the difference on your monthly bill for the next 15 years. 📉

Max rebate is $1,125. Equipment has to be AHRI-listed, and it has to be submitted within 6 months of install — program terms shift, so we confirm current eligibility before quoting, not after.

"Just ballpark it — how much is a mini-split?" 💰

Okay. Single zone, professionally installed in the Valley: roughly $3,500 - $5,800. Multi-zone (one outdoor unit feeding 2–4 rooms) goes up from there depending on head count.

What actually moves your number: 📐 BTU size 🔢 How many indoor heads 📏 Line set length — how far the head is from the outdoor unit ⚡ Electrical — do you need a new circuit or panel work 🪜 Access — second story and tile roofs take longer

What we won't do is quote you over the phone off a guess and then "adjust" on install day. We look at the space, do the load calc, hand you an itemized number. 📋

And if the room is hot because the attic above it is failing, we'll tell you that instead — sometimes the cheaper fix is insulation and the mini-split is unnecessary.
