Meet Our Expert!

Dr. Aaron Wolfson is a rehabilitation psychologist, licensed and certified vocational rehabilitation counselor, and certified life care planner who has testified as an expert in many state and federal jurisdictions. Dr. Wolfson specializes in assessment of residual earning capacity, life care planning, chronic pain management, and interdisciplinary physical rehabilitation/functional restoration. Having worked with Stokes & Associates since 2009, Dr. Wolfson also serves as clinical director where he oversees clinical operations, best practices, training, and quality assurance. Dr. Wolfson's unique blend of clinical expertise, rehabilitation knowledge, and legal experience positions him as an invaluable asset in complex catastrophic and non-catastrophic cases requiring multidisciplinary insight.

Please join us in congratulating Clayton Stroope on becoming one of our Life Care Planning Experts! 🎉

Clayton graduated from Samuel Merritt University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Following graduation, he worked at the VA Palo Alto Medical Center and Stanford Medical Center in several acute care patient units including trauma, brain injury, plastics, burns, and spinal cord injury. After several years of working at the bedside, he transitioned to field case management for a multitude of national workman’s compensation insurers. During this time, he received his Certified Case Manager (CCM) certification as well as his Certified Life Care Planner (CLCP) certification. Clayton has since drafted and supervised the finalization of hundreds of life care plans and is a member of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC).

With a strong foundation in life care planning and a commitment to objective, evidence-based analysis, Clayton brings valuable insight to the evaluation of complex cases. We are pleased to congratulate Clayton on transitioning into the role of Expert Witness!

Meet Our Expert!

Todd Capielano is a licensed and certified rehabilitation counselor, professional counselor, case manager, and life care planner. He has testified as a vocational and life care plan expert in state and federal courts, and as a vocational expert for the Social Security Administration since 1992. With decades of private sector experience, his expertise includes vocational evaluations, residual earning capacity analysis, future medical care assessment, and mental health counseling. Mr. Capielano holds a Master of Education in Counseling from the University of New Orleans and a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from Louisiana State University Medical Center, School of Allied Health Professions. He is a member and former President of IARP-LA.

Meet Our Expert!

Brandy is a licensed and certified rehabilitation counselor who has over 18 years of experience in private rehabilitation. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Louisiana State University in 1997 and her Master of Health Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in 1999. She also holds national certification as a Certified Life Care Planner. Brandy testifies as a Vocational Expert with the Social Security Administration, Office of Disability Adjudication and Review. Her areas of expertise include life care planning, vocational rehabilitation assessment, vocational testing, labor market research, wage and earning capacity analysis, and mental health counseling.
