A false witness is on God’s top seven list of things He hates found in Proverbs 6:16-19. In fact it says He detests these things. It is not a good thing to fall into God’s disfavor.
Some for whatever reason are godless and have no qualms about lying; unknowingly, they are being influenced by the ‘Father of lies’ who Jesus clearly identified as satan. Everyone should be mindful that there will be a day when every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord (Philippians 2:11). The sooner one acknowledges Him the better, for once we pass this world, that opportunity, and the promise that comes with that acknowledgment, is gone. Hell is filled with individuals who chose poorly. They realize now that Jesus is Lord but that acknowledgment came to late for them.
Let me be very clear here. God does not send anyone to hell. Our refusal to accept His Son, Jesus, who is the Christ, does. Scripture is clear that it is appointed for man once to die and then comes judgment (Hebrews 9:27). Those who have accepted Jesus pass from judgment to life for Jesus took our punishment for us.
Consider Jesus words found in John 5:24 in the Amplified Bible:
“I assure you and most solemnly say to you, the person who hears My word (the one who heeds My message), and believes and trusts in Him who sent Me, has (possesses now) eternal life (that is, eternal life actually begins - the believer is transformed), and does not come into judgment and condemnation, but has passed (over) from death to life.”
Talk about a get out of jail free card!! Only a fool would refuse that opportunity. Honestly, what keeps someone from accepting Jesus? 🤦♀️
We each need to read that Scripture again! If we have already accepted Jesus, we have already passed from death to life! What an incredible promise and we know that Jesus does not lie! Through our belief in Jesus, we are transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit and are born again. Judgment does not wait in the wings for us because Jesus already took our judgment upon Himself.
The lies of satan and those who promote his agenda will be cut off. We know how this story ends. The question is, “Whose side will you be on? Don’t wait to make it right with the Lord. Today is the day of salvation!
