💪 One of the most dangerous sentences a business owner can say is: “If I do it myself, it will be done properly.” It sounds like high standards.

Often, it is actually the beginning of a bottleneck.
You check everything.
You solve every difficult problem.
Important clients still want you.
Your team keeps coming back to you for decisions.
And because you are capable, the system works.
Until the company grows.

Then suddenly there are not enough hours in the day.
This is one of the hardest transitions for someone who starts a company after being very good at their profession.
Your job has changed.
You are no longer supposed to be the best person doing the work.

WHAT I LEARNED FROM VISITING SPACEX
"Besides watching the Starship launch up close, I spent half a day exploring SpaceX at Starbase, Texas.

It was an INCREDIBLE experience, and I had the pleasure and honor of speaking with one of their senior managers, Mauro Prina, Director of Thermodynamics. He is an Italian engineer who was among the first to have the courage to leave NASA and join SpaceX when it was still in its early days.

As I observed the base, its location and the way it is organized, and listened to the people there, a few things really stayed with me:

✔️ To succeed in business, you have to be a DREAMER and pursue the IMPOSSIBLE. This mindset is present in every move Elon Musk makes, but also in every SINGLE ACTION of his company.

The impossible is not only the goal of reaching Mars. It also meant building SpaceX at the southern tip of Texas, in a place where there was literally nothing, and convincing engineers to move there - 26,000 employees.

Pursuing the impossible also means building your own factory from scratch in the US to produce the spacecraft’s thermal protection tiles after realizing that buying them from an external supplier would make the whole project too expensive.

✔️ Once you start pursuing the impossible, YOU HAVE TO ATTRACT THE STRONGEST PEOPLE YOU KNOW TO YOUR COMPANY BY MAKING THEM COMPELLING OFFERS THEY CANNOT REFUSE.
