Check out the progress on this AMAZING large custom chicken coop that Matt and the guys are working on in Santa Fe, NM. You may have seen some of the photos and videos before, but this is truly a one-of-a-kind master coop build.

It is the very first built from scratch, turnkey coop. For all our other turnkey coops they were built in the shop and driven in panels and pieces to the location.
For this coop, they bought every piece of lumber and constructed every intricate design piece right there on location. They only brought tools, some screws and their incredible talent!!!!!

Working with the customer who is a structural engineer has been a huge learning experience for all of us too. Some info on this coop: It will have a total of 1068 square feet and will be 21 feet tall!

Other tidbits are that it's actually two coops in one and will have a communication door (like at a hotel). There are so many moving parts and bells and whistles. But the real beauty is in the design and scope of this big, beautiful chicken coop.

Remember our customer, Adam, who’s American Coop was in rough shape from the delivery truck and he was told to refuse delivery?

Then it so happened that our crew was out in California so we were able to put it together for him and make lemonade out of lemons. (Check earlier post for more)

Well Adam stained the coop and it looks amazing!!!! It’s in the perfect spot and we hope he and his chickens will love it for many years to come. Thanks for sharing Adams

We wanted to share this standard 6”x 12’ American Coop in Grandview, Texas.

The customer plans on adding lots of touches around the coop, but we wanted to show how beautiful the coop is when it’s stained.

Staining the coop protects it from the elements (so does painting it), but with stain you can really see the beauty of the Douglas fir.

Standard coops come with black or Galvalume roofing, black hardware, high density polyethylene in the henhouse and egg hutch.

The henhouse is 4’x6’ with two 6 foot roost bars so it can hold about 12 chickens with free ranging. (Give or take, we like a foot per chicken)

It has our signature deep litter beds so no cleaning for at least a year or longer.

A coop with a view! This 6’x16 Coop in Burnsville, NC sits at the highest elevation east of the Mississippi River at just over 4800 feet. It is overlooking Mt. Mitchell, the highest mountain peak on the East coast.

This turnkey coop has a 4’x6’ henhouse ( suitable for up to 12 chickens with free ranging), board & batten siding (standard on the Carolina model), a cupola, heated poultry water system, and a Chickenguard automatic chicken run door.

This coop will be painted or stained to ensure it will last forever. As always our walk-in chicken coops all have our signature deep litter beds so you can go at least a year or longer without cleaning out your henhouse.

This chicken coop is being built as part of our turnkey service, where our amazing crew comes to your property and assembles your chicken coop.

Our chicken Coop is our original and comes standard with board and batten siding, which gives it a classic farmhouse look.

All our coops are walk-in, predator proof, and built to last a lifetime. And let’s not forget our signature deep litter beds that let you go over a year without cleaning. A real set it and forget it system.

A beautiful 10’x24’ Chicken Coop our talented road crew just finished assembling in Grass Valley, California.

It’s a classic with marshmallow white paint and black roofing and hardware. The Carolina Coop comes with board and batten siding.

This turnkey coop also has a fully functional cupola, Dutch door, our poultry water system ( with gutters, only available on turnkey installations), and the chickenguard automatic chicken run door.

The customer also had a concrete base put in which isn’t necessary but is great if you can swing it.

Even with all the bells and whistles this coop has the same DNA as all our coops, superior Douglas fir lumber, black PVC coated .5” hardware cloth, polycarbonate windows that tilt up for plenty of ventilation, our drop down egg hutches , and our signature deep litter beds so you can go over a year without cleaning the henhouse.

With a 6’x10’ henhouse you can have up to 30 chickens with free ranging. But we suggest not maxing out your henhouse because as you know, chicken math is real!!!! Leave room to grow your flock!!!

Here is a classic 6’x12’ chicken Coop we recently installed in Scottsdale, Arizona.

This is our original and most customizable coop! It comes standard with board & batten siding, plus all the other good stuff all our coops have, such as our signature deep litter bed in the henhouse, HDPE lined henhouse, drop down clean out gate and drop down egg hutch door with removable dividers, plus tons of ventilation and a run tall enough to walk into with bending down ( unless you are way over 6’4”)

This coop has the Dutch door option and heated poultry water system, along with a door for the henhouse. This door isn’t necessary because the henhouse and run is protected from predators, however, some people want it for peace of mind, or to prevent baby chicks from getting into the run if you’re using the henhouse as a brooder.

The henhouse is 4’x6’ with two of our popular rope wrapped roost bars (available to purchase on our site under coop accessories-link in bio).
So this coop can hold up to 12 chickens comfortably with free ranging.

This was installed as part of our turnkey service, but most coops this size are shipped across the US for assembly by the customer.

We love this two tone paint job! They even had a concrete footer to make sure the coop sits level. That’s super important.

Our California coop is 4’x9’ overall with a 3’x4’ henhouse. It has one 4 foot roost bar so it’s good for up to 4 chickens with free ranging.

You can see this pretty Wyandotte enjoying some free ranging.

Even though it’s our smallest coop, it still has all the amazing features that makes our coops so popular, covered runs that you can walk into, premium lumber, metal roofing, polycarbonate windows, black PVC coated half inch hardware cloth, high density polyethylene lined henhouse, drop down egg hutch with removable dividers.

Plus our signature deep litter beds with a drop down clean out gate so no cleaning for at least a year or longer. All our coop are predator proof , have tons of ventilation, and are built to last!
