Here’s my honest opinion right now

I used to think people in their mid 30s had it all figured out

& In a way I still think we do

We know what we know so far

And probably lots of things we don’t

& with that knowledge we get to decide what we want to do about it

Do we want to stay the same?

Or do we want to take a risk and change?

So in a way, we’re on the right track

Because this human experience is all about overcoming

Who we were
Who others thought we should be
And whatever else got thrown in the mix🌪️

I was thinking about happiness the other day

Particularly people who are naturally happy

And what I realized is that the things that they are happy about are always the simple things

Like:
☀️a beautiful day
🫂spending time with people
🌴 nature
🍉 food

And they do this by doing one simple thing…

✨being present✨

🦋Present during a walk outside
👯‍♀️Present with their friends
☁️Present in their mind

This presence helps them get out of :
🌪️past traumas, worries,stories, fears

And
🔮future worries/fears

And into this moment right now.

A moment to look at the clouds and see the shapes
A moment to taste the delicious food they are eating
A moment to be grateful for the people in their life

So happiness is really so available to us

We just need to allow ourselves to notice it

And be in it

By being present with it

The best way to calm yourself nervous system when feeling anxiety

(That doesn’t feel weird and you can do it anywhere)

Spine straight…
👃Breathing in through your nose (2-3 sec)
👃Taking an extra sip of air at the top
😮‍💨Slow exhale through the mouth (4-6 sec)
🔁Repeat 3-5 times ✨

✨Bonus points if you make a noise on your exhale (HAAAAA)✨

I used to think like this…

That I was strong because I knew how to not let things effect me

I was proud of my straight face, my armor, and my pride.

It gave me success

Allowed me to push through and not waste time

But it only got me so far before it started to slow me down

Started to creep in as anger over stupid little things

And kept me distant

Knowing what I know now, I see it clearly.

I see how my pain protected me and served me

But more importantly I see how it has blocked me

And now I see my pain as an invitation to let go

To put it down

To journal what I wish I would have said

And give thanks for the lessons

✨This is how you heal✨

You find what is asking to be released and let it go

🫂With help by others because you shouldn’t have to do this alone👯‍♀️

It is my mission to help women heal themselves

And to give you the tools that have helped me go from angry and anxious to abundant and free✨🐦‍🔥

Take this in:
That one goodbye could welcome the BEST hello!

When I was a hairstylist I worked at a salon that I really loved.

I had tons of clients
Made lots of money
& Did what I loved doing

But here’s the thing…

It was in a town I didn’t want to be in.

I wanted MORE

I wanted to expand myself and live somewhere new, make a name for myself, get paid to travel, and open my own salon.

The cost:

Goodbye to my clients
Goodbye to my hometown
Goodbye to what I knew and how I made money

And I’m not going to lie, my first 6 months living in miami as a hairstylist I made basically NOTHING

My first check was $37 for TWO WEEKS

But as I pushed through and kept focused I:
👯‍♀️Rebuilt a clientele
🏘️Opened salons
✈️Traveled to teach
🎤Spoke on stages
💎And got to retire at 32.

All because I said goodbye.

Goodbyes are not just about endings, they are about making space for more aligned beginnings!
