The title I'm most proud of is Mama.
Today, my 7-year-old son, Kyle, stood in front of nearly 80 children and adults at BNI Miami Lakes' Take Your Child to BNI Day and presented my weekly BNI commercial.
We practiced, but not nearly as much as I thought we would. Then I realized something. He already knew it because he's been watching all along.
When they announced he had won Best Commercial, the tears in his eyes said everything. Not because he won, but because he had done something that felt big and realized he could do it.
One of the things I love most about owning my own business is that my kids get a front-row seat to the journey. They see the relationships, the conversations, and the work that happens behind the scenes. Moments like today remind me they're learning more than I realize just by watching.
Thank you, BNI Miami Lakes, for creating an opportunity for our children to build confidence and use their voices.
