Positive thinking and positive talk is the most valuable tool in supporting yourself and gaining confidence. If someone compliments you say thank you, rather than “oh no not me”.
Catch yourself thinking or saying something negative about what you did or how you look or who you are or What’s wrong with your life. Try to change it into a positive. For example, if you’re having a rough time, say I have a challenge right now, but I know I can get through this and do very well. Use the words challenge or journey or path instead of “ I’m having a terrible time I’m no good, everything’s falling apart, everything is rough. Nothing is easy”. For example change your words to : I’m having a challenge right now, but I’ll get through it because I’m strong and I know what to do. Even when my path consists of obstacles, I’m able to figure out how to hold around over or through it. Though many paths may seem more difficult it is an opportunity for more light and growth, thus offering me opportunities and gifts with every turn I take.”
