🍋💛 From Regional Program Manager Hallie Thomas: Life is so much sweeter when you squeeze the day! 🌼✨

Donation partners came together to celebrate National Lemonade Day by delivering fresh lemonade and lemon cookies to the amazing hospital staff at HCA Lake Monroe Hospital and HCA UCF Lake Nona Hospital. 🩺💙💚

This sweet gesture also tied into Nurses Week and Hospital Week, giving us a chance to show appreciation for the dedicated teams who bring compassion, care, and lifesaving impact to every patient they serve. 💫

We are truly grateful for their partnership and the vital role they play in the donation mission—adding so much “zest” to saving lives every day! 🍋💛

💙💚 From Regional Program Manager Natalia Rueda, this Donate Life Month we were honored to host a meaningful “Adopt a Tree” ceremony at Homestead Hospital. 🌳

In partnership with Driselle Sullivan, Bioethics Coordinator at Homestead Hospital, we brought together staff and a chaplain who shared a special prayer as we dedicated this tree to all organ, eye, and tissue donors. Each acrylic bird placed on the tree symbolizes a donor hero, with staff continuing this tradition by adding a bird in honor of every donor moving forward.

This living tribute will soon include a permanent plaque, serving as a lasting reminder of the lives saved and the legacies that continue to grow. 💚

💙💚 From Regional Program Manager Deron Riddick, Legacy Donor Services Foundation was proud to take part in Donate Life Month rounds at Broward Health Imperial Point!

Deron joined Sam and Julia of South Florida Donor Network, along with hospital leadership, to meet with nurses across each unit—sharing updates on the donation process and expressing gratitude for the incredible role they play in helping others receive the gift of life.

These teams are essential to making organ, eye, and tissue donation possible in our community, and we are truly thankful for their dedication and compassion each and every day. 💚

What a beautiful and meaningful evening at our Donors Are Superstars event at the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens. Together, we honored the lives and legacies of 37 donor heroes whose gifts continue to bring hope and healing to so many. 🕊️✨

Guests had the opportunity to decorate Donate Life tanzaku slips, experience the powerful sounds of the taiko drummers, and hear inspiring stories from Mark Barber, a heart and tissue graft recipient, and donor mother Mirtha Moya De Castro.

The evening concluded with a moving Celebration of Lights and Floating Lantern Ceremony, creating a beautiful tribute to the lasting impact of donation and the loved ones we honor and remember.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special evening of remembrance, hope, and community. 💫

💛🍋 From Regional Program Manager Trina Long: Last week kicked off our 2nd Quarter Campaign, centered around National Lemonade Day and just in time for National Nurses Week! 🩺✨

Our Mobile Lemonade Stand made its way through both Delray Medical Center and HCA Florida JFK Hospital, bringing smiles and appreciation to the incredible nurses and healthcare teams who do so much every day. The nurses absolutely loved the refreshing surprise! 🌟

At Delray Medical Center, Trina rounded with ED Educator Mari Hoover-McGarry, serving up an amazing 64 cups of lemonade throughout the hospital to show gratitude and support. At HCA Florida JFK Hospital, Andressa Reis from South Florida Donor Network joined in helping spread appreciation and celebrate the hardworking nursing staff. 💖🍋

Thank you to all of the amazing nurses for your compassion, dedication, and the care you provide every single day! 🙌
