Customer Service Rep

Job Description/ Call Center.

Some of the main daily duties and responsibilities are, but not limited to:

Direct communications with customers, clients, providers and potential clients via phone, email and any type of communication.

Confirmation of benefits and eligibility information to members and providers.

Ensure that providers send claims for processing and/or payment and that only the correct amounts are collect from the patient (deductible, co-payments, etc.) Assignment of benefits

Provide referrals to in network providers to all members, clients and sometime other providers, confirmation of participation of a specific provider in the network. Steer callers to in network facilities/providers to generate higher revenue.

Provide claims information like status, process date, detailed payment amount, check number, discounts taken, etc. to members, clients and providers by making the necessary contacts.

Assist on resolving any billing issue by contacting the appropriate department and/or parties involved.

Identify balance billing by analyzing claim and payment information available.

Identify potential problems and take prompt corrective actions in order to avoid escalated issues that require supervisory intervention.

Keep account managers informed of any delicate issue that may require their attention in order to avoid or resolve an existing problem.

Calm irate members and providers and reassure their problems and concerns will be dealt with in an effective and timely manner.

Apply knowledge, experience, common sense, and critical thinking to all issues being dealt with. Multi task and prioritize

Make decisions on when a specific issue needs to be brought to the attention of the supervisor/manager.

Respond and address new business concerns from existing and potential customers.

Log and record all type communications for patient files.

Respond to general queries from members (policy procedures, reimbursements, etc.). Redirect callers when necessary

Follow up until completion on all issues that are not resolved on the initial contact, keep parties up dated on steps and actions taken.

Service the maximum amount of callers in the quickest and most efficient way with out sacrificing the quality of the service.

Coordination of medical appointments, this, in most cases, include locating and contacting several participating providers who have the availability and suit the patients preferences concerning location, language, etc.

Atleast 1 year of experience working in a Managed Care (Insurance) company as a Call Center or Member Service Rep.

Medical Biller Position Available!

Position Title: Medical Billing Specialist ($15/hr)

Reports to: Billing Department Lead

Summary: Review clinical documentation for intensive care hospitalist and diagnostic results as appropriate to extract data and apply appropriate ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 codes for billing, internal and external reporting, research, and regulatory compliance. Under the direction of the Billing manager, accurately code outpatient (for example, diagnostic, therapeutic, emergency department services, ambulatory surgery (same day surgery), and observation service encounters) conditions and procedures as documented in the ICD-9-CM Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting. Resolve error reports associated with billing process, identify and report error patterns, and, when necessary, assist in design and implementation of workflow changes to reduce billing errors.

Responsibilities:

Assigns codes for diagnoses, treatments, and procedures according to the appropriate classification system for outpatient or inpatient encounters.

Utilizes technical coding principals and APC reimbursement expertise to assign appropriate ICD-9-CM diagnoses and ICD-9-CM/CPT-4 procedures.

Identifies chargeable items for emergency department visits and enter into billing system.

Extracts required information from source documentation and enters into encoder and abstracting system.

Reviews daily system-generated error reports to correct or complete missing data elements.

Assists in implementing solutions to reduce back-end billing errors.

Abides by the Standards of Ethical Coding as set forth by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) or American Association of Professional Coders (AAPC) and adheres to official coding guidelines.

Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications: Minimum of successful completion of a nationally approved Coding Certificate Program which must be accredited through the AAPC or AHIMA. At least, five years of progressive on-the-job experience. ICD-10 Certification is preferred.

Pharmacy Technician (Full time Long Term Position)

Remote Pharmacy Techs primarily conduct onsite retail pharmacy audits. This includes preparing audit reports and determining overpayments. Certified Pharmacy Techs that have worked at Long Term Care pharmacies, mail order, hospital as well as Retail. Must be Certified and have a good understanding of prescription requirements, calculations and excellent excel skills.

Responsibilities:
-Work and communicate directly with pharmacy management and staff
-Schedule audit travel in a cost effective way
-Keep up to date with State and Federal Regulations that apply to the profession of Pharmacy

Provider Enrollment Specialist

This position is responsible for processing necessary documents to ensure that all physicians are enrolled in government programs and are participating in company approved managed care organizations. This position will also include organizing and maintaining physician files; maintain credentialing reports and update Provider Enrollment Goldmine database; conduct written and oral follow up to determine application status; communicate with all necessary internal departments; develop and maintain relationships with individual contacts for the government agencies as well as managed care organizations; create and maintain blank application files for the government agencies as well as managed care organizations.

• Request and complete all necessary and appropriate forms for submission to the proper health plan entities

• Review all applications completed by the Assistant

• Communicate with health plans to understand process and use this information to establish and maintain estimated effective dates for providers

• Prepare check requests for required application fees

• Maintain and update database with both enrollment status and necessary data elements

• Document all tasks, phone calls, emails and other forms of communication during the enrollment process in the database

• Conduct written and oral follow up to determine application status

• Escalate all issues to the appropriate members of the management staff, region, and/or co-workers as necessary

• Respond promptly to all questions, received via phone or email, regarding any health plan and/or group/pin

• Complete and update CAQH database when appropriate

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION

-Schedules meetings, makes travel arrangements and maintains departmental/leadership calendar.

-Manages calendars and schedules meetings for the Development Officer. Confirms daily appointments at least 1-2 business day(s) before the event or meeting taking place. Send calendar appointments to all attendees.

-Provides assistance of coordinating committee meetings. Ensures appropriate materials for meeting setup are handled in a timely and efficient manner. Takes and distributes minutes, coordinates meeting announcements, RSVPs and follow ups. Handles

-Accurately inputs gifts into Raiser’s Edge and creates acknowledgement letters. Assists in the assembling and maintenance of data/information in Raiser’s Edge. Responsible for producing various reports, budgets and/or projects including the processing of donor information.

-Accurately enters call / visit information, actions, notes, gift entries and other information on donors and prospects in Raiser’s Edge within a timely manner.

-Prepares supportive materials for events. Handles manual tasks for mailings, reservations, helps coordinate seating lists, and processes credit cards charges for ticket purchases, makes copies for disbursement to event manager and pertinent office staff.

MARGINAL JOB FUNCTION

-Perform general clerical duties (i.e. photocopying, faxing, file etc.), and other clerical duties as assigned.

-Assist in data entry in Foundation database under the supervision of the database coordinator(s).

-Assist other Foundation staff with clerical projects (mailings, follow up phone calls, etc).

-Receive, store and maintain inventory of office supplies. Manages general office supplies and ensures adequate inventory of promotional information, kits, folders and brochures for Development Officer and Foundation staff.

-Contributes to the promotion of the positive image of the Foundation and through effective and timely management of office functions and involvement of staff and volunteer leadership.

-Meet and greet clients, vendors, and visitors to the department.
