This athlete had a crush injury to the top of his foot from a dropped weight on it. 😳 He was lucky to not have a fracture just bone bruise and significant swelling.
In one session today I did Hivamat to flush out the swelling, laser to reduce pain from bone contusion and a pulsed ultrasound with light instrument flush to get the nice outcome you in see above 👆🏽 ✊🏽

No one understands this relationship more than an athlete and their PT 🙏🏾✊🏽 My friends often ask me why do you work 7 days a week, late week nights, some holidays…It’s because of bonds like this video. My student athletes become nieces and nephews to me, my patients become family that I want to see live pain-free fulfilled lives ✊🏽🫶🏽 Being a PT is not a job, it’s a calling and there is no greater feeling after the hard work, the setbacks, the small wins, than this 🥹🥹🙏🏾❤️ Kudos to Neymar for remembering 👏🏾 I celebrate my victories in them from the sidelines, not needing applause, not needing a post just seeing them win ✊🏽💯

Spring Break was extra special this year I got to see my Waters brothers 🫶🏽. From student athletes at Chaminade to now collegiate track runners I am so proud of their accomplishments and the amazing young men they continue to be 🥹🤗✊🏽 One of the reasons I love my job my kids now even when they go far away to college Dr. T always has their back ✊🏽❤️ They are taller than me now 😝😅

This year’s Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Kickball challenge was a Canes reunion and my UM AT Masters students did an amazing job giving back for such a great cause 🙏🏾 This year we were all ladies and represented well stretching participants, doing some first aid and spot assessments as needed for our participating athletes 🤗🙌🏾🙌🏾
