Delivery Driver

Robinson Salt Supply has been the region's leading source for reliable and quality softener and de-icing salt since 1979. We proudly serve our customers with home and business delivery, providing a wide variety of salts for all markets. Our experienced and knowledgeable staff are looking to add a new face to the team!

Delivery Driver Job Responsibilities:

· Delivers high-quality products to our customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner

· Establishes and maintains outstanding relations with customers

· Reviews and verifies invoices and purchase requests to ensure accuracy

· Contacts customers to confirm delivery details

· Inspects delivery vehicles and ensures the safety and security of the loading and unloading process

· Determines placement of merchandise, follows safety and lifting protocols during deliveries, and conducts safety reviews

· Maintains delivery logs and records

This position is full-time first shift and includes weekends off with the opportunity for seasonal overtime. Employees receive the option for health insurance with an individual plan covered at no cost after 90 days of employment. Annual performance reviews bring further opportunity for wage increases, paid time off, and access to enrollment in our 401k plan.

Delivery Driver Skills / Qualifications:

· Excellent communication and organizational skills

· Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities

· Familiarity with local streets, neighborhoods, and routes

· Highly responsible & reliable

· Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to work cohesively as part of a team

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

· High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

· Valid driver’s license

· Clean driving record

· Pass a pre-employment drug screening

· Ability to lift 50lbs

· Forklift experience is a plus, but on-the-job training is available

We ready to rock for Winter but we are looking for a good delivery driver! Accepting applications for one delivery driver position and starting phone interviews THIS WEEK! (4/20/22). Potential start date as early as 4/25/22 Yes, basically, ready to hire immediately.

***** This position requires the ability to carry up to 50 pound bags of salt from our Ford F550 flatbed trucks to stack or fill water softeners as needed by customers, sometimes up or down stairs. This can be a VERY physical job *****

Most deliveries are 40 and 50 pound bags and some require no handling at all as they are offloaded by forklift.

*We have recently phased out 80lb bags for hand delivery but there may still be instances when handling 80lb bags is necessary.

This position is what we call "Salary Plus".

It's base starting rate is $13/hr or $520/week.

Most weeks you will average 22-28 hours which breaks down to over $20/hr worked on average.

The "Plus" part is that if you work over 40 hours a week, you will get time and half. So it's all the benefits of a salaried position without the downside.

And there is typically ample opportunity for OT in the Winter.

There will be a review and possible raise at 90 days.

Also, we pay 100% of individual insurance premiums after 90 days if you elect to be on our health insurance.

After 1 year on the job, you will get 5 Sick Days, 5 Personal Time Off days, and your birthday off with pay.


The position does NOT require a CDL, but other opportunities may be available with one. Forklift experience is a plus, but on the job training will be provided.

We are also requiring masks (which we can provide) to increase the safety of our staff and customers.
