Above Ground Winery We are an estate winery dedicated to delivering unpretentious wines and EXCELLENT hospitality! We strive to achieve a balance among product choices. No pets.

Our goal is to share information about wines and the wine industry while providing an enjoyable product. We offer both dry red and white wines, in addition provide off-dry to sweet fruit wines. Founded in 2010, we quickly outgrew our previous location and wanted to focus on what our guests wanted. A place with a view, a relaxing outdoor space, and a community with common interests. Now located in

the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, Augusta County is home to Above Ground Winery. We planted 7 acres of vinifera grapes in 2016 along with raspberries and elderberries that round out our fruit production with the apple orchard on the property. Our focus is on estate-grown wine. Our intimate tasting room is big on hospitality. We want to give you more than you expect on your visit. We want you to enjoy a carefree wine tasting experience. 21+ only. No bus access. One, single, solitary case of Little Black Cab left. This has been a VERY popular wine. A play on words... Little (Petit Verdot), Black (Pinot Noir), and Cab (Cabernet Sauvignon). As you know we are a limited production estate winery. If we don't grow the grapes, we don't make the wine.

While we do have production scheduled again, it may be a while before it's back on the menu.

Thanks to everyone that enjoyed Little Black Cab, shared Little Black Cab, and believe in us. We're doing what we know and love.

Well, it was a great run, but all good things must come to an end. The last case of our famous Abracadabra has been placed in the tasting room. This bourbon barrel aged Chardonnay was a hit.

If you have been here in the last six months you know we have the next vintage bottled. The new vintage and going forward the barrel aged will be in French oak. No worries we.disnt replace Exit Strategy Chardonnay in stainless.

A dog for all seasons. It's National Mutt Day! We celebrate Stella today. Part Beagle and part Dachshund. I'm glad I was able to adopt her from the SVAnimal Services Center in 2020 because I don't think anyone else would have the patience.
