🏡 Another One Bites the Dust!

Another MHU replacement project is officially complete, and this one means a little more than simply checking another project off the list.

Today, we’re proud to welcome another hurricane survivor home in Venice, Florida.

From removing the damaged unit and navigating permitting and site-specific requirements to installing and completing the new manufactured home, projects like this are what disaster recovery is all about: helping families move forward after the storm.

There is still work to be done across Florida, but every completed home represents real progress for a family that has been waiting to get back to normal.

There are few moments in disaster recovery more meaningful than handing a homeowner the keys to their completed home.

This project represents much more than construction. It represents months of coordination, inspections, problem-solving, craftsmanship, and teamwork coming together for one purpose: getting a family safely back home.

From site preparation and installation to the final finishes and walkthrough, our team at Assist2Build is proud to have helped bring this project across the finish line.

Today, the paperwork is complete, the final walkthrough is behind us, and the keys are officially in the homeowner’s hands.

Another MHU replacement project moving along in Venice, Florida — Sarasota County.

One detail that makes this project a little different is the upgraded skirting. The community’s HOA prospectus was amended to require a different finish than what would typically be installed, so we adjusted the scope and incorporated the upgraded stone-style skirting into the project.

That’s an important part of working in established manufactured home communities. The home still has to meet program requirements, code, manufacturer requirements, and local standards, but it also has to fit within the rules of the community where it is being placed.

Every HOA is different, and we can adapt the project to those requirements when they are identified early and incorporated into the planning process.

Good progress in Venice, and this one is coming together nicely.

A little more progress in North Port.

Our MHU replacement project in Sarasota County hit a big milestone this week when FPL came out and got power connected.

Or, as we like to say:
“LET THERE BE LIGHT.”

It’s always good to see these projects move from one stage to the next. The home is in place, the site work is coming together, and now we’re one step closer to getting this project across the finish line.

Still work to do, but definitely a good day on site.

Today was about more than completing a construction project. It was about handing a homeowner the keys to a safe, completed home and marking the beginning of a new chapter.

Through the Clay County SHIP Program, Assist2Build was proud to help deliver this home and see the project through from construction to final turnover.

Our Senior Project Manager, Silverly May, had the honor of being present for this special milestone and personally handing the keys over to the homeowner.

Moments like this are a reminder of why housing programs matter. Behind every set of plans, inspections, schedules, and construction milestones is a homeowner waiting for the day they can finally walk through the door and call it home.

We are grateful for the opportunity to support Clay County and its residents through the SHIP Program, and we are proud of the team and partners who helped bring this project to completion.

🏗️ Did someone say… skyscraper???

This MHU is sitting approximately 9 feet in the air, and while it may not be breaking any skyline records, it definitely gives “elevated construction” a whole new meaning for Manufactured Housing.

In disaster recovery, every site comes with its own challenges, and sometimes the solution is simply to go up.

From foundation work and elevated installations to the final set, projects like this are a good reminder that rebuilding isn’t always one-size-fits-all.

We are excited to be so close to the finish line for this homeowner to move back home!
