Hi folks, first off I want to thank you for your business, I genuinely appreciate it. If I have been slow to get back to you in the last week please let me know. Over Memorial Day weekend our smart, beautiful and loyal Golden-doodle puppy Fiona was hit by a car. She spent two days at the emergency vet and on the morning of the third day we received terrible news. Fiona was unable to use her back legs or her bladder and likely had very little time left. We had a very tough conversation with the kids and prepared ourselves for the worst on the drive. There were a lot of tears and not a lot of hope. We put our faith in a higher power and just prayed that things would work out. Our call was answered and Fiona regained the use of her back legs in the hour that it took us to make the drive to Westville! Seeing her walk into that exam room brought happy tears to all of our eyes and an indescribable amount of joy. Even after all hope was lost God knew that our boys needed her and gave her the power to heal. It’s been 10 days since we brought her home and she is about 85% of her old self. She’s happy and getting around really well, she’s even chasing the cats, a true miracle! We took her to a follow-up and they strongly believe that she will make a full recovery. Again if I have been slow to get back to you please touch base with me. Things have been a roller coaster the last week and a half and I haven’t been checking my phone as often as usual. As many of you know on Dec 20th my wife's family suffered a terrible loss, her cousin Ashley Conklin Hargrove was murdered, leaving behind 3 children. My wife Christina and Ashley's sister Heather Weidow have spent the past month setting up an online benefit auction that will begin this Saturday January 29th at 9 am. There are donations from over 75 local business and over 150 different items. Everything from electronics, art, apparel, jewelry, hotel getaways, concert and event tickets and so much more will be available. On Monday December 20th my wife's family experienced an unthinkable tragedy. Her cousin Ashley was murdered by her long-time boyfriend, who also took his own life. Ashley was an amazingly caring person, she was easily my favorite in-law and one of the few people who believed in the vision I had for SCG Appliances. Even though her life was never easy if you needed help with anything she would do whatever she could. She was a mother of 3 and the love between her and her children was a beautiful thing. Her funeral was today and laying her to rest was heartbreaking. She deserved so much better in life and so did her kids. If you are willing, we would be so thankful if you could donate to help cover her funeral expenses, any remaining money will be put into a trust for her children. Money doesn't solve all your problems but it's the last thing her family should be worried about right now. Thanks in advance, we appreciate it more than you know!

Folks if you look at our reviews you will probably notice that our "most recent" review is not a good one and I wanted to add some context. I reached out to her and didn't get a response. I did service work for this lady in Nov of 2016, about two weeks after I had started the business. She had a very old antique oven with wiring issues.The wiring was brittle and had burned up in several places, I repaired the wires and it worked for several months and a different section of wires burned up. I offered to fix it and she declined. As far as the furnace claim, this also occured in Nov of 2016 and was not her house's furnace. It was in a very old mobile home that had been completely gutted and exposed to the elements for many years. The furnace was in very rough shape but only needed an inducer motor to "work". I pulled the inducer motor, which requires nothing more than removing the access cover and pulling the inducer motor. I took the motor to see if I could source a new or used one and parts were no longer available for the furnace due to the age. I informed her that although I could probably make something work my insurance is only valid if I use OEM or equivalent parts and that wasn't possible in this case and it was something I didn't feel right about doing. That's where we left things and I learned that if something isn't worth fixing that the best approach is to be up front about the fact that replacement is a better option. I take a lot of pride in doing good work for people and if you've used our services in the past I'd really appreciate if you left us a good review. Our business is our livelihood and what puts food on the table and reviews are such an important factor in the decision process. Thanks for reading and we appreciate each and every one of you!

Our 3 yr old and future face of the business Isaac. He had career day at preschool and decided he wants to be a service tech just like his dad. Looking forward to him taking over some of the workload in about 20 years.
