MORE STAFF, NOT LESS!

The Caregivers of Helen Porter Rehabilitation Center, are committed to providing the best possible care to the most vulnerable in our Addison county community. For two and half years they have attempted to work with management to INCREASE staffing in order to meet the specific needs of their residents safely. At the start of May, 2026, UVMH, mandated a REDUCTION in patient facing staff.

We demand that management listen to their patient facing workers, and provide more staff, not less, to enable Helen Porter Caregivers to: safely provide excellent care, attract and retain skilled workers, and treat their residents with dignity and respect.
