The staff of Snouffer’s Fire & Safety would like to thank the mayor of Middleport, all fire departments who responded and all first responders for containing the fire to the adjoining building only. Our shop and headquarters of our business was spared.

We unfortunately knew this day was coming due to foot traffic in and out of the back of a supposedly uninhabited building. We reported this to local authorities more than once and they made attempts to resolve the situation.

Hopefully, this will be a reminder for owners of vacant buildings to properly secure their buildings so unwelcome individuals won’t enter and continue to destroy properties.

Again, we thank everyone involved for going above and beyond for saving lives and our building.

The future of Middleport is headed in a positive direction. We hope that our village continues to grow and thrive. As residents, continue to support local small businesses.
