I filmed myself eating dinner last night. Not for the food. For the reaction. 🍽️

Look at this carton before you even get to the eggs. The pockets are staggered, offset row to row, not lined up in a plain grid.

That's the first thing that makes you stop and look.

Real Talk: then there's what's inside. Same farm, same care, egg to egg, until that one pale blue shell shows up next to a dozen brown ones and your eye stops again.

Neither change meant starting over. Both are the reason you looked twice.

Most businesses try to be different everywhere at once. The ones that actually get remembered found one small thing, made it real, and made sure it showed.

Grace's has been open for 12 years. Last night, it felt like it had been there a century. 🕰️

Epiphytes don't fight for soil. 🌿 Down on the forest floor, everything's clawing for the same water and over the same root space. Epiphytes skipped the fight entirely; they climbed up where the ground battle doesn't reach, into all the moisture and warmth nobody else is using.

Real Talk: When resources are scarce and competition is high, we usually pick one of three moves. Join the bloodbath. Join the cage fight. Hope we're the apex predator. There's a 4th option: change the rules. Go where the competition is minimal, and the resources (even the ones everyone else overlooked) are still viable.

Most entrepreneurs are watching the wrong gauge.
